What's wrong with Menu Pricing? You use it, you pay for it. Don't need it? Don't pay.
I don't go to KOA's because I don't need or want a pool, kid's playground, miniature golf, etc. They charge a higher rate because they offer those amenities.
I look at going to a CG like going to a restaurant. Want lobster? Costs more. Burgers are cheaper. Want 50 amp? Ditto. Basic campsite should be just that - basic parking spot with nothing else. Add ons for water, electric, sewer, TV, etc.? I have no problem.
But I don't want to pay a higher rate for things I don't require or use.

Only thing that bugs me about it is I don't have anywhere to keep the extra quarters I'll inevitably need when the time runs out.

They have been around for many years. Not my favorite idea, but better than no showers I guess.

They already did. When you paid for the site. you paid for the shower. End of story.
I agree! If it isnt included then reduce the overnight rate.

We all just use the shower in our rig. I have only used the camp showers if my dw is taking far too long.

Why would I pay, when I have a perfectly working shower in my MH? I paid a pretty penny for the one that I am now dragging around with me, so there is no earthly reason to nit use it.

Iam just happy when there are showers. Don't mind putting i the quarters. Just returned from Yellowstone and the Teatons where they don't have showers in each campground but have a couple of campgrounds with shower/laundry buildings where you pay an attendent for the shower and can take as long as you want. They cost about $3.50 and were really clean. They even rented towels if you needed one. Of course the campground cost was not super expensive especially with a senior pass

I'd rather pay more per night and not have to deal with the coin-operated shower. That said, it's never been a deal-breaker in terms of staying somewhere, just a nuisance.

My thoughts as well....
The shower and AC were two many reasons we bought an RV!!
Plus, I have been in very few campground showers that are as clean as I would like now that I'm getting older...
