I recently stayed in 2 campgrounds that ranged from 42 - 60 a night in Canada and that had coin operated showers. We do not use the shower in the MH for personal reasons.

As long as they are well maintained I have no problem paying a few quarters.

Hi,
I don't use the campground showers, so it does not bother me in the least.

No problem for me. It costs them money, so why shouldn't they charge?

Well, there's a cost associated with the operation of the showers that's paid for by the campground owner. I don't use the campground showers. Why should I pay for you to use them?

They already did. When you paid for the site. you paid for the shower. End of story.

In the past the only time I have run into coin operated showers were in areas where water supplies were limited, drainage was a problem or heated water was in short supply. Otherwise I would have a problem with paying for a shower in a full price campground.

For those of us with RV, yea. I can see possibly charging for showers because we have bathroom facilities in our RV and we're paying for our water usage there with our campsite.
However, for tent campers, it's absolutely not fair.
Since campgrounds are charging for everything these days (kind of like flying on a airplane now-a-days, charging to use the bathroom and each piece of luggage), I can foresee the day they will be charging extra if we want full hook-up or partial hook-up. Each item will be charged separately. Want water? That's an extra $10 a night. Want electricity, That's an extra $10 a night. Want to use the fire pit? That's another $10 a night. Want to park your vehicle at your campsite instead of a general parking lot, that's another $10 a night ... and who knows what else.
Yea, I agree, I think this stinks! But as long as WE .... YES .... "WE" the customers continue to pay, it will only get worse!
