Agree.
But they uncorked one bottle and drank it and said it was fine. I bet they didn't know it was worth $70k before they opened it.

I read that the bottles were worth $68,000 each. Anyone that actually buys one and drinks it will just up the value of the unopened ones. So, should I be given one (fat chance), I would hold on to it til the price pays for a new DP.

I can't tell the difference between at $20 bottle of champagne and a $200 bottle so I would sell it.

They DID know it could be worth 70K when they opened it, but they had to prove that the wine was good. Most times, salt water at that depth and pressure seeps through the porous cork and taints the contents. In fact, some of the bottles still could be tainted.
I would toast and sip the wine... Money isn't everything. The experience alone would be one that almost no one would (or will) ever have. It would be an event second to none for me.

If it was whiskey or scotch or cognac, Keep it, even after its been opened, it'll still be just as good. Spirits go into a kind of stasis the moment they're removed from the oak barrels and put into glass bottles, they don't age any further, but neither do they degrade, unlike wine.
Bottle of Wine, Champagne, etc... depends on if I had a cellar full or not. If I came across a forgotten bricked in wine cellar in an old southern home, I'd likely keep it for myself and spread it across family through out the years.
Single bottle or two, I'd just sell it. Case? Keep it, its all about quantity. If ya a bunch, you can sell a few for cash and keep a few for yourself for extra special occasions.
