Nice post.
I am newbie in this forum site.
RV covers can significantly increase the life of your RV no matter what type of RV you own and thus improve your return on investment (ROI).
Thanks.

Those of you that don't like the water hoses on the reels, or the lynx levellers, feel free to send them our way, we love both items!

Lynx Levelors ~ the most costly, cheaply made thing I've ever bought AND I actually bought a second set after the first set cracked all apart, AND those cracked too!

Can I be captain obvious here, and say that they shouldn't do that...

They do carry a manufactures warranty...

For us it was a thetford porta-pot. The DW went in and picked one up for the TC and thought it would be just the ticket for those late night needs. Found very soon that you would need to be 4' tall in order to use that thing ... anyone taller wouldn't be able to get back up again. Had to build a cabinet to raise it up enough for any normal person to use.

Hello,
There are plenty of options for those looking to buy an RV, so lets look at what they are, and how they can be beneficial for you if you are deciding what to pay for an RV and what types of options you want.
You might at first not want to drive a large vehicle around. This then leaves you with the option of going with a travel trailer and a truck to pull it. Most people like this options since they can park and detach the trailer, and then use their truck to get around without pulling anything. This can also be a gas saving option.
Thanks.

I like my lynx leveling blocks. None are broken yet, but we'll see. I like my pop a plate, but see no use for any of the others. I would like to see a cup dispenser for the plastic solo cups. I can't find one anywhere. The best thing I ever bought was one of those 30 gallon collapsible round containers. I put a garbage bag in it and put it outside. I dump my small indoor can in it when it gets full. I end up using one 30 gallon trash bag for the weekend instead of ten small bathroom size bags.

As for dislikes, I bought a sewer cleanout fitting that hooks to a water hose to flush out the tank. I am not sure what brand it was, (they all look the same)but it was a clear 90 with a check valve to go on the hose connection and a valve to go on the fiting. I tried it and the water came out about as fast as the spot free rinse in a car wash. It would not make it to the black tank. Since I couldn't return it (obviously) I threw it straight in the trash. Another thing that doesn't get any use is my awning tie down kit. I don't leave mine out at night or when we leave, and I can put the awning up faster when winds pick up if it isn't tied down.

Does anyone have use the lynx block and did they ever break on you.
thank you

We just trashed ours because they were all broke. They were used about 10 times. I think they were designed for lighter weight RV's. We bought the yellow ones from CW so we'll see how they hold up....

I have the yellow one's from Camping World. Bought them when we bought our trailer. Almost 4 years later and TONS of use on ALL kinds of surfaces from blacktop to gravel to dirt to sand to EVERYTHING and I still have the original set and they are in perfect condition and have never broke on me.

Our trailer is 6500 pounds so we're not really light but not overly heavy. I ended up buying a second set and am ready to buy a third to use under stabilizers now instead of the wood blocks we are now carrying. LOVE THEM!

In answer to the OP - I haven't bought anything that I haven't liked or used. I'm pretty careful though and grew up camping so I keep with the main basics anyhow.

Best items though: "floating" tissue box holder, electric jack, nicer awning mat (not the fake grass) and the propane cover w/openings on top so no need to remove whole thing for turning off and on.

Oh wait! There was one thing - the refrigerator blocks to keep the fridge open when stored - didn't realize that my refrigerator already had something built in to keep them from closing. I returned them to the store unused.

Stupid Coiled water hose. To use it you have to completely uncoil and remove it from the wheel. It's like a firehose, so don't count on being able to nicely pile it on the ground! The first time I went to use this, I was probably 7' from the water spout. I had to run this dang hose up and down the side of the trailer, being careful not to kink it. I now have a 5' and a 15' walmart water hose. I think I paid almost $50 for that hose at the dealer when we bought our first trailer.

Me too I ended throwing ours in the garbage.

Love my roll up hose. Only had one that got a hole in it.

After the dog chewed on it.
