Microwavable containers to "boil" or make eggs in the MW. They worked but you might as well just boil them or make a nicer omlette in a pan.

I tend to really think things through before making any purchases so I never end up with a piece of junk. Every now and then something will get through my screening process but I just take it back to the store and get a refund.

A 12V circular fan that clips on to whatever. I thought it would be a nice thing to have to cool the bedroom on warm nights (we're rarely plugged into electric). Dagnabit -- that thing was noisy! It was used once and is now in the box under the bench seat. Total waste of space!

Instead we installed a Fantastic Fan to keep the bedroom cooler. Cost 10 times more but is 100 times more effective and 10 times quieter.

I bought a fly-killer, pop-gun pistol. It is a catch and release model but kinda fun to play with.

Stupid Coiled water hose. To use it you have to completely uncoil and remove it from the wheel. It's like a firehose, so don't count on being able to nicely pile it on the ground! The first time I went to use this, I was probably 7' from the water spout. I had to run this dang hose up and down the side of the trailer, being careful not to kink it. I now have a 5' and a 15' walmart water hose. I think I paid almost $50 for that POS at the dealer when we bought our first trailer.

LMAO!!!

I bought that SAME thing when we first started fulltiming - and took it back after ONE use.

What a PITA that is!!!!!!1

The "cheater box" for $80 that is supposed to allow you to hook up your 50amp MH to a 30amp and a 20amp campground pedestal.

It trips the GFCI! It won't work!

So, this is a lesson to me and others... I bought this useless thing before I found this forum. Since finding this forum I have learned many valuable things. Too many to list.

So keep adding to this thread and save someone else the expense of buying stuff that does not work.

Oh thats easy!!

I boondock a lot more than I have shore power.

I once saw my "Gotta have" It was a 12V electric kettle to boil about one cup of water at a time.

So, next time boondocking, I eagerly await my morning coffee. I fill it up and plug it in and wait. . . . and wait . . . . and wait . . . and . . zzzzzzzzzzz . . . wait some more. . .

3/4 hour later, this miserable piece of junk had me a cup of marginally more than lukewarm water. After an hour, it was almost thinking about starting to get nearly hot.

Sigh, scrap this, I pull out my old faithful beat up camp kettle, flash up the stove and in 5 minutes I hat a steaming hot cup of coffee.

As for that lousy piece of junk electric waste of money, back in the box, toss it in the corner of a cupboard. It now resides somewhere in the back of a dusty shelf in my garage. Not sure why I keep it, I should stick it between my dually wheels and stand on the throttle!

Get a Sunbeam "Hot Shot" you will love it!!

We bought some kind of round grill that sounded like just the thing to carry in the basement. Opened it up and first it required some kind of seasoning. PITA, but we did that. Then we tried to use it on a trip, and two hours later, we still had raw meat and hard potatoes. Got out the cast iron and cooked it on the stove.

Didn't even try to sell, trade, or give it away. It went right into the garbage.

The Blue Tote - Bought it about 5 years ago and it is still in the garage. Never used it once. Plan on selling it when we get back home. The slinky for the sewer hose. Same thing much more trouble than worth.

Best thing was a full cover for the front and side windows. Blocks the heat the best of all. Maxxair Fans (absolutely the best investment ever)
