Just came back from a Maine / Nova Scotia trip. We stayed in Bar Harbor initially and visited Acadia National Park. The campground was great and the Park was fantastic. If you stay at Bar Harbor KOA just a few things to remember. When we were there it rained a few days and there are some pad sites that are in low areas. Don't get one of those. Also the road into Bar Harbor is under repair -- hopefully it is done by now -- but I doubt it. You get a clue of how bad it can get when you see signs that say "Pavement Ends" and "turn your cell phone off in blasting areas".

All in all we had a great time and Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island were fantastic.

Enjoy your trip.

Paulcardoza,
I will as I was going to run 95 to Brunswick Me then take Rte 1 up the coast for the local flavor
Super idea. I used to live in Cutler, my sister in Brunswick. Some of my fondest memories of Maine are the Rte 1 drive up and down the state. Of course, I was spoiled living right on the coast in Cutler and only paying about 2 bucks a pound for lobster but hey, such is life......

Thanks Big Don your living large! I appreciate all the comments and we are very much looking forward to the trip. The really cool thing about rv.net is how most people share their experiences so that others can have a great trip. Ive been planning this way since I became a member and havent gone wrong yet.

Keep the posts coming.

We rode our bikes from the visitors center to Jordans Pond house on the carriage trail. After burning all those calories lunch was fabulous. The Baa Haa Baa KOA Oceanside was really great. Super nice people very accomadating. I will go there again..Hopefully soon..
