We were in a bar in Bandera, Tx and inside they had bras hanging all over the place. Outside they had the penny bags. There were no flys on the patio. Not sure what the bras were supposed to scare away.
Now this has me thinking!!!

Put a bag above our deck door 48 hours ago. Still see some flies around the door and the deck not many but they are there.
They're probably blind

The bras aren't for scaring away, they are for attracting bar flies.

IO've used the bags with a nickel in it and had it hanging under the umbrella at the lake house and it worked until the kids popped one open goofing off. I then heard that you could hang old cd's....I tried it and it works great...really does reduce the amount of flies.
I assume it hurts their vision and they leave.

For all of the nay-sayers: A pic is worth a thousand words. How about three pics?
Two weeks ago we had lots of flies congregating while we were cooking over the fire at a campsite... (salmon, baked taters, corn on the cob) so we hung up a penny bag on each end of the awning and ate our meal underneath it... fly-free!~

And they worked again the next day for the two *drunk chickens* we roasted over the fire too... yummmmmm
