After walking by the nest this morning. I now know what kind of chicks they are...."Morning Doves"….Here’s a photo of the Mom sitting next to the nest.

One thing, after the storms we had last week (very strong winds and thunder storms). It’s amazing how well these bird’s build a nest.
They now have one of God's helpers looking out for them....The Emperor himself....Calvin
Pops
PS Since Harlee’s no longer responding when Calvin asks her what time it is?…The Emperor's decided to let Pops wear his “Shark Diver“…LOL

Quote: LOL…Calvin said, “If Rosie could get couple of her girlfriends together, maybe they could make a music video like this”…
BenBen and Willow both sing - and Willow is quite a looker and great dancer. She says WOOF WOOF to that idea of a video. BenBen is older and a little less "hip" to the idea.

LOL...You'all are too funny...
I guess Calvin's in, since he wants me to open a savings account for him to purchase guitars, drums and of course a mic/stand.

See, this is how he came to *almost* be a search and rescue dog, and if those chickies need rescuing, Calvin is their man! Unless, of course, they happen to taste like chicken .

I agree and have no reservations if it wasn't for his little problem he would have made a great search dog. He keeps showing me this side of himself (or natural abilities) time and time again.
When we play hide-an-seek with his ball. Even if I hide it in an elevated position, he’ll lift his head and sniff the air to locate it. He definitely has a heightened level of his senses.
It was extremely fortunate to have found him.
If I walk in the building, he’ll sit at the door and wait for me.

Morning Dove Chicks
Well as nature makes it's natural selection. After checking on the
two, I saw that both chicks flew the nest....but later found out that one didn't make it. I guess it was too weak, because one of the guys found it dieing about 75 yards from the nest. Tried to fly when approached, but died a few hours later.

PS I have no dought that Calvin or Harlee for that matter would be another Hachiko. Because when ever I have to leave them outside of the building or within the gates. Regardless if they can see me or not (such as if I’m in the building). It doesn’t matter how long I’m in there. Both dogs are waiting patiently at the door.
A few days ago, I exited the building from the rear door. Walked to to the front, sat where they couldn't see me and watched the two for quite awhile. Calvin would sit looking in the glass door, then lay next to the door. Then every so often, he'll turn looking at the door and wait.
This really makes Pops feel great and makes me smile in appreciation for this display of their affection and loyalty to our Pack.
One day, I'll remember to take the camera in with me and take a photo of the two for you'all.

Being Double Teamed;
For you folks who have more then one dog. Do they “Double Team” you for snacks???
What I mean is, I think Harlee and Calvin actually know what their doing and figure they can “Double Team” me for snacks.
For example; One would hit me up for snacks (how do I know it’s what they want), by sitting next to me licking his/her chops.
Ok, if it’s time, I’ll give both only a half of a “Jumbone”…(Thinking they can out smart Pops), because I know within the next few hours. It’ll be the other’s turn to sit and lick his/her chops. At which time I’ll give them the other half.
I know their high five’ing each other when I'm not looking, thinking they got one over on Pops again….
