AS stated before, Nashville is almost back to normal. In particular there is gas at I40 exit 188 west of Nashville. I would just plan on getting gas on the outskirts, but the majority of stations have gas. The pipeline is at 100% here.

Thank you 'very' much for the info and the link for gasbuddy.com.

First I kept heading right into all the storms from hurricane Ike, then all the flooding in MO, and now the gas crunch in TN.

Are we having fun yet RV'ing?!

Here in Southeast TN, it's a roll of the dice. Some stations that are out this morning will be open this evening and then closed again tomorrow. Avg. price for regular unleaded is around $3.85 if you can get it.

The long lines and no gas seemed to be centralized mostly in the Nashville area. It basically boiled down to panic buying. The supply to locally owned convenience stores took the biggest hit in not being able to get new supplies of gas while the larger company affiliated stations were able to get gas but could not keep up with the demand. A lot of people were just simply driving around trying to find gas for no real reason. There were even reports on TV of people driving 90 miles into Kentucky to fill up their cars Figure that one out. Recent reports show the problem abating. If we have to go to Nashville for medical appointments, etc. we make sure to fill up before going there.

The only fuel available this evening in the small town I live in is premium unleaded, and it is in short supply. I have a friend who works for an oil distributor and she is hoping to get a load of fuel in on Friday but can't say for sure. My wife bought regular unleaded just in time in Cleveland, TN today. Many stations are either out or running very low.

Also, I just read in the local paper that diesel shortages are now a very real concern in our area.
