I didn't want to do it but I have recently downgraded my TV. I picked up a 2006 VW Jetta TDI. empty i can make 40+MPG. I haven't towed far yet but I am expecting mid20's with the TT on the back. It has plenty of power to handle the 25' trailer. we have only towed from storage to home (without trailer brakes) but did OK. I need to find out how to wire my prodgy into it. Lemme what you think of the pics.

What is the tow rating and tongue capacity of that car? I didn't know they put the diesel in the Jetta.
Would be interested in seeing some closeup photos of the 2 inch receiver on the back of your car.
I'm not sure how most people here are going to react. You definitely are breaking the wheelbase "rule."
Good luck! (possible troll here guys)

Heck if it is a diesel it will pull anything. Go have Mr. Banks get you a couple more turboes, some air bags and a sack full of power chips with a little salsa and your GVW will grow to at least 50,000 pounds.
Just poking a little fun at the I can pull anything with my 3/4 ton
Powerstroke/Cummins ect. Crowd.
About your car.
If you have brakes enough to stop it ,keep your speed down and go only on short trips, I say go enjoy yourself.
That car probably doesn't have enough cooling capacity or gear train to tow long distances. But time will tell.

It takes more than power to make a tow vehicle. In case this isn't a joke I'm not even sure about the power since it's listed as 177 LB/FT or torque. Good luck / skip

It's a joke....
You can see the sway control in the picture and the wd/bars under the trailer - no wd hitch on the car.
