Coach Net is refunding the amount we had to pay for the tow. They also promised that both the dispatcher and the company they sent would receive "education" and apologized for their error.

Maybe it is the weird angle, but it looks like the motorhome end of the tow bar is lower than the CRV end of the tow bar.
Make sure you are using one of the proper drop receivers for towing a car. Roadmaster, Blue Ox, or NightShift Auto.

http://www.remcotowing.com/vehicles It will tell you what can be towed four down, on a dolly, or if you need a trailer. It will also tell you if you need a transmission pump to tow it 4 down. My idea is if you need a pump, forget it. Keep it simple.

Just returned to NYS for the summer. Gas in mid-PA was $3.46. Just before the NYS border, still in PA, it was $3.68. Just over the border it was $3.90.
44 cents/gallon difference in 100 miles. X2 on gas buddy!!Its called NYS fuel tax. I often get my gas when I make a trip south to Pennsylvania. And I make lots of trips to Pa! My doctor is there, my dentist is there, the grocery store is there, and my grandkids are there, etc.

Just put diodes in the Jeep's tail lights and don't mess with having to attach/detach/string wires everytime you set up .
Here's one of many sites that carry kits.Your missing the OP's point. He is looking for some type of portable light because his Jeep lights are being obscured by bike rack and bikes. Lights being obscured will get the attention of a leo and end up with a ticket.

??? kind of confusing because your state law says:
"Kanas Article 1. - GENERAL PROVISIONS: Under Definatins: (w) "Travel trailer" means every vehicle without motive power designed to be towed by a motor vehicle constructed primarily for recreational purposes."
But then, Kansas is one of the states that allows riding in the travel trailer, so I would think one would need some type of personal liability insurance to protect the trailer passengers if involved in a accident!

I did a bunch of research on building a water softener and discover that if you want to keep the resin beads inside the assenbly, you might as well buy the real thing, cause it will cost you almost as much to build a proper working one! So I went out and brought the real deal. Got the FlowPur Mark 8000.

When I had my Swagman bike rack, I mounted stop, turn, tail LED lights to the bike rack. They plugged into the trailer light outlet on the back of the car. That way no body, including a LEO, could say that my rear lights were obscured by anything. It was a light like the following with a rubber gasket around it.

If you can find one, I think you will find it very generic and of not much use. If you do a google search using Safari Sahara owners manual, you will find lots looking for one, but no one offering up one. Can I spray water in all the compartments and under carriage, especially behind the sewage hook up? Will I have electrical problems if I do?Why would you want to spray water in your compartments? How is it going to get out? Electrical problems would depend on whether or not the electrical connections are exposed to the water.

I've been beating myself up over this
I think the biggest part of the damage was done Because I forced it to continue on to the next off ramp, instead of immediately pulling over, cooling down and getting the tow while on the side of the road.
my own stubbornness did this to meQuit beating yourself up. What you did was a human thing! Something any of us could have done. No sense wasting time listening to the ping pong balls bouncing around inside your head over stuff like this. Time to move on!!

The cable is enclosed in a protected braided wire sleeve and should not be rubbing on anything. What exactly is rubbing and what is it rubbing on? The only place it could be rubbing is where the wire exits the sleeve at. That hooks to the exposed unprotected cable. Is that cable the one that is rubbing on something. Are you talking about the "Stow Strap" (item 13) in the pics on pages 8, 10, and 11 of the installation instructions? If you are having a problem there, I suggest you call them with your problem at (800) 933-3372. The Ready Brake support is excellent and I am sure that they will be more than willing to help you out.

i had the MH weighed and here are the #s
front GAWR is 9350#s actual weight is 6620#s full fuel, water and propane
rear GAVR is 15500#s actual weight is 14300#s
Your using axle weight, not corner weight, correct? So you front corner actual weight would be 3310 lbs per tire correct? And your rear corner actual weight would be 7,150 lbs per dual, correct. And you noticed that the dual psi is different than the single psi didn't you? I'm thinking your rear psi is quite high, but without seeing a chart, I'm only guessing. Can you provide a link to the tire chart that you are using?

Just got my first slug of love bugs and waited about a week before I could get time to remove them. They seem to have penetrated the surface of the plastic bra and if I use a scrubber it seems to scratch the bra.Their stomachs have some of the nastiest paint and plastic eating acid there is. Never wait to get it off. Do it every night when you stop!

It's not controlled by any state, its a DOT federal program and I think you will find 65' from stem to stern.
Federal guide linesOnly interstates and designated (Resonable Access) interstate access highways. The designated interstate access routes are listed in the Rand McNally Federal Motor Carrier Map Guide. The states do control length and width on all other state controled highways and it is listed in their laws. State length and width laws even applies on highways carrying the "U.S. route" designation. A example of the U.S. route designation is U.S. Route 62 which runs all the way from the Canadian border at Niagara Falls, NY to the Mexican border at El Paso, Texas. It is skinny, curvy, and narrow in many places, and is not appropriate for a 45 foot long, 102 wide motor coach with a long enclosed trailer.

Yes, I have had problems with the cable chaffing a lot against the "oval hole" on the ready brute itself. The first thing that helped has to take a dremal tool and take any of the sharp edges off of the 1/4" steel that makes up the area around the hole. In my case, I still wasn't super happy with the results, so I attached a Teflon block with a hole in it. Other folks have come up with other ideas to keep the cable from chaffing...
Ok, you've both got me puzzled. Exactly where is this "oval hole" located? I'm puzzled too!

but I would be interested in supporting documentation from some other source.Lots of supporting documentation from the many satisfied users who frequent this forum and other RV forums. And in the RV field, about the only other supporting documentation you are going to find is dealers and manufacturers blowing their own horns. So when you find many happy customers praising the accolades of a product around here, you know it is well worth it.
