RE: 2002 Chevy Malibu

And on a Malibu if you disconnect the transmission lever interlock cable, you don't even need to remove the 3 fuses or even the need to have a key in the ignition switched to the ACC position.

RE: Experience with protective shields for towing behinf RV

My advice to those considering installing a bra on their toad in hopes of protecting the finish. Instead just go buy a sheet of 100 grit sandpaper and use it to scratch up the finish on the front of your toad. You will get the same result if you install a bra but the sheet of sandpaper will cost you much less!:)

RE: dual tires and pressure on one inside dual

I find it interesting that your tire pressure on that one wheel goes down after driving on them a while. I have used a PressurePro TPMS for 5 years and my experience is that all 6 tire pressures will increase approximately 10% from their initial cold pressure setting after 10 to 20 miles of driving at cruise speed. The tire pressure should never go down as they warmup!

RE: Load Index of E Tires

The correct tire for the Ford E450 chassis is LT225/75R16 Load Range E. If you need to put a load range G tire on your motorhome, then you will have greatly exceeded the 9450 lb load rating of your rear axle and springs. Installing G rated tires for extra weight capacity does not fix the problem of overloading the rest of your chassis components!

RE: Kodiak 5500 Diesel oil change (Dutchmen)

Berserker,
Why don't you just refer to your Kodiac 5500 Owners Manual. It will list the size and type of engine choices.

RE: replacing power converter - Inteli Power 40 A

The unit you describe is not a power inverter but is called a charger/converter. An inverter is a totally different item unrelated to what you are talking about.

RE: Upgrading WFCO 8955 converter to PD4655?

For those of you considering installing a Progressive Dynamics PD4645 or PD4655 Charger/Converter unit but would also like to have a remote control Pendant (which comes with a PD9260C unit but is much more work to install), then study the following two posts on the Born Free Leap'n Lions RV Club website: http://www.bornfreervclub.org/bulletin_board/viewtopic.php?t=2482
It is possible to get a special modified Remote Control Pendant directly from the Progressive Dynamics factory which will work with the PD4645 and PD4655 units and eliminates the need to replace the DC fuse & power distribution pc board.

RE: DC Power question

You are not supplying enough information for anyone to give advice as to the possible cause of your problem.
1) What size and length of wire is used to connect the two 300 watt inverters to your two 12 vdc house batteries connected in parallel?
2) What is the total power draw (wattage)of your TV, satellite equipment, and other equipment connected to your two inverters?
3) When your TV quits, does the inverter powering it shut down or go into reset?
4) What is the DC voltage measured right at the battery terminals with the inverter loads applied? Measure with a decently accurate digital voltmeter.
