RE: street motorcycle hauling

I bought 1 of these after a lot of research. It worked so well I bought 3 more. I haul two drag bikes, a street bike and a pit bike at once and none have ever moved. Not even on the PA turnpike! www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAM4jYwFJc4

RE: Best built toy hauler?

We just bought a used Holiday Rambler TH and have been very pleased. I did not see anyone mention them here so I'm posting. HR is no longer in production but was purchased by Monaco. The Monaco 5ers are now made off the HR design. Monaco does not make a toy hauler but Holiday Rambler has always been well respected name in the business and Monaco surly has good reports. I also made the pilgrimage to the Monaco warranty and repair facility at the factory in Indiana for some upgrades/repair/maintenance and was treated very well by the head of the shop who worked at HR and had hands on during the production of my HR. The experience was Awesome! PM me if you want to hear more details.

Looking for laid back Florida beach camping between Clearwater and Pensacola between 4-23 and 4-27. Prefer good food, drink, and beach access. Laid back easy and relaxing is a must. Don’t want to do anything but lie on a nice beach, eat good seafood and drink umbrella drinks. Must be laid baaaaaaccccckkkkk. No kids with us, no grandkids with us, no dogs with us....just us. Rig is 40' TH and crew cab, total 65'. Did I mention laid back????? Thanks KNR

RE: 2006 Holiday Rambler Next Level 38FKS

Well she's home, let the mod's begin. First need to clean off the Utah; Wyoming, Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio road dirt salt and slime.

RE: 2006 Holiday Rambler Next Level 38FKS

Thanks, all good info. I'm not wanting to get any higher through an axle flip the axle change was to get away from the cartridge type nev r lube bearings. If I was going to switch axles I thought for the few extra $ I'd go bigger and get the 6K with old school bearings. The disk brake seems over kill but if I'm there it will never be cheaper. It seems that no mater which way we go the new wheels are a must. I would hate to buy 6 lug wheels and start having bearing problems, and then have to do it again. I guess if I stayed with the 5200# axles with old school bearings and drums or disk brakes I would be good to go with the 6 lugs.

RE: 2006 Holiday Rambler Next Level 38FKS

Been taken my breaks and reading up on the tire issues in the TH section. I knew I was going to do an upgrade because the TH we bought had the DOT numbers on the tires matching the year of the trailer build date (late 2005). It's equipped with 5200# triple axles and 15" Goodyear Marathons. The tires are not cracked and have a lot of tread which told me it lived under cover and had low miles. Looking to upgrade to one of these scenarios; A to a better tire, B to 16" wheels and a much better tire(245/75/16), C new 6K axles with disk brakes and 16" 235/85/16 tires. We will be hauling motorcycles so our load is not going to be pushing the limits but if spending the $ we will go the best way we can afford for the long haul as we will be putting on about 10K miles per year. We will be on road as our bikes are the drag race variety. Any one been down any of these paths want to share there journeys?

RE: work and play 44SL

Thanks for the thoughts; we are steering away from this unit due to cold weather abilities and lack of ground clearance.

2006 Holiday Rambler Next Level 38FKS

Looking at one of these lightly used. Will be new to a 5th wheel camper/toy hauler. Anyone with this model or other HR in the 2006 model year willing to share experience? Does this unit have the dreaded frame crack issues? Thanks for all responses

work and play 44SL

I'm looking at a 44SL Work and Play. Looking for others that have this unit (or similar) for some model specific info. Generally how it is to live with, quality, and towing issues. We also will use it year round in some cold weather, anyone have experience and willing to share? Thanks KNR
