RE: Looking For A Bracket To Install Flat Screen TV?

If you are near a "Ross" dress for less clothing store, believe it or not they usually have flat screen brackets for a ridiculously low price.

RE: Park Host needed

Sorry, Tworootless. I had a bad day and needed to inject a small bit of humor. I understand the sober part. I once worked with a women who kept a clear water bottle with her, but it was not water in the bottle. It took the boss a bit to find out the truth. Hope you are having fun in Quartzsite. We are too!
No problem:) I'm no teetotaler. And we have also work-camped alongside folks that stumbled out of their RV to great a guest.

RE: Park Host needed

Post replies as this was the main reason I posted no reply. But. . .
The advert NEVER stated N/D (no drinking) Sober means: not intoxicated or drunk. (Look it up) Without doubt, what you do on your own time is your business. Unless it affects the park. Just like in the real world. . .
This is a non- physical position which equates to checking in guests, and site escorting on our golf cart including coming up and running some activities. The offer is made to someone that would like to save a few bucks and not pay for a seasonal site.

RE: laminate flooring

Laminate purchased at Sam's Club. Laminate has built in backing. Removed ALL carpet including the slides. Stapled plastic vapor barrier down, installed flooring. Besides a few scratches caused by dining room slide no other issues. Scratches we can live with. Filthy carpet we could not.

RE: any frame warranties out there longer than 1 year???

We were told after a major repair that our (EX) 1997 Gulf stream 5th wheel's Lippert frame had a lifetime warranty on it.

RE: Generator purchase-hindsight is 20/20

Not sorry for purchasing our Kipor 3,000 w gen. Over this past summer I used it extensively to power a 90w welder as well as large power tools needed in the reconstruction of the bed on our tow vehicle. The gen has been given a heck of a workout running several hours a day to operate and has never missed a beat. Fuel consumption was also impressively low.

RE: oil field gate keeper

1099 is our deal breaker. If I'm considered an independent contractor, then I'll set m own hours. Been there, done that for many years. We like it when a company takes taxes, and supplies workman's comp. But hey! That's just us.

RE: Geo Tracker flat towing

We also purchased an old Auto trans Tracker with Auto Hubs. You can flat tow once the hubs are replaced to manual hubs and the vehicle is placed in free wheel or neutral.

RE: Van Horn, Tx. Bans RV Parking

Van Horn, TX isn't unique in there ruling. Check out Mesquite, TX. Due to the past crime rate and hookers soliciting the truck stops, they no longer offer ANY rest stops in their jurisdiction. In fact, the parking regulation was written by an uninformed idiot. They ban parking by weight (which would include almost every dually pick up) and by the height of a vehicle.

Had a friend once. Told me how confident he felt having his 40' toy hauler push his F250 down the highway. Haven't heard from the old guy in years. Hmmmm. . .

RE: diesel inverter generator

No matter what the brand. A diesel gen is going to be noisy! We opted for a 3,000 w. gas Kipor inverter gen and love it.

RE: generator and ac under tow

Personally I haven't and with the price of fuel it's not a consideration However, we have a good friend that has the gen in the pick up bed, and it stays on to keep his 2 caged birds cool. Seems to work out just fine.
