RV Parks - Yuma

Hi there,
Has any snowbirder stayed at the 'Arizona West RV Park' in Yuma, AZ. If so, would you recommend this park for a short stay. Not on the RV Park review website. Thank you in advance.

RE: To Toad or Not To Toad

another consideration, an alterantive to rough & tough toad. consider a small off road motorcycle 250 cc. or so. you can carry it on front bumber. light enough so you can lift it on and off by yourself. If you are going solo, this could be the answer.

RE: To Toad or Not To Toad

If I was spending the winter in Mexico, and spending time bondocking and exploring. I would want a toad. One solution you might consider would be to find a inexpensive rough and tough toad. I would consider a older suzkui sammaria, go to craigs list and find a used stowmaster tow bar. for a couple thousand dollars you could be good to go. Sell the toad and get your inital investment back, when you return from mexico. but thats me, and it's easy too tell other people how to spend there money.

RE: Does the tachometer have any use anymore?

we drive a DP the sweet spot of the engine is 1800 where I get best performace and fuel milage, I use my tack to keep it there. When decending a grade I select the gear I want and watch my tack to keep it at the proper speed. When climbing a hill I use my up and down bottons on the transmisson and use the tack to keep it at the rpm I want. So I use the tack a lot.

RE: Driving a Class A Tips Wanted

here are a few more
driving in a cross wind, use a very light grip, helps keep you relaxed and helps prevent overreacting to the wind.
when backing use a spotter,
agree before backing with co-piolt on hand signals and where co-piolt stands so they can be seen usually on the driver side.
when driving on the interstates through cities, make as few lane changes as possible, pick the lane you need and stay there, if there are three or more lanes use the center lane the inside lane is for merging and exiting much more congestion.
on two lane roads favor the center line, the danger is on the right side disabled cars, etc.
in residential ares favor the middle of the road, the danger here is parked cars kids stepping out and low tree limbs.
hope this helps.
