RE: Front slides

On my coach (08 built by Monaco) the curb side compartment with the batteries in it also has the slide control board under a cover mounted on the back wall. Also on the rear side next to one of the battery disconnect switch there is a resettable circuit breaker that looks like This check to see if you have one and it is tripped. Ya got it! Thanks to the picture I was able to find it mounted on the firewall above the hydraulic pump. Did a reset and the slides moved in and out. Thanks to all for the support.

Front slides

We are currently in a campground with one front slide out and one in and neither will move. I called CoachNet last night and the tech told me that most likely the batteries are low and let them charge. Did for his suggested 1/2 hour and still no luck. Called the Monaco tech but he was of no help, it was his go home time and he wanted off the phone. Looked at the owner’s manual and after going thru all the fuses and suggestions I’m at my last chance. I'm looking for the following: Check the fuse and auto-reset circuit breaker on the slide-out relay module located under the rear curbside cabinet. I'm thinking the circuit breaker might have tripped but cannot locate it in the rear curbside cabinet. Does anyone have a location for this? The coach is a Monaco Camelot, 40 ft, 4 slides. I tried to copy the picture off the owners manual but no luck.

RE: Dinette screws stripped out - fixable?

Sounds like a super glue and toothpick fix to me. Those stripped out holes won't have a chance. Agree, put glue coated toothpicks into the holes and break off the excess wood and then put the screws back into the holes.

RE: tire pressure

Put your unit put on the scales to get front and back weight. Adjust the air pressure to meet the weight requirements.

RE: ROOF VENT SCREEN REPLACEMENT ?

I'm looking at my roof vent and cannot imagine how a cat could lay inside the open roof vent unless it's from outside. You should have to buy the entire unit. You may buy a thin piece of screen and find a way to work it into the flange but this doesn't look good. As long as the cat lays there you will continue to replace the unit.

RE: Gettysburg 2013

Don't bother, just watched a program last night and according to the Mayans Dec 21 is the last day of the earth. You will not need reservations after that date.

I have a Rock Shield Guardian fromn Roadmaster and it works very well. I have been using it for over eight years.

RE: Cleaning Black Tank

Most I have seen you connect the water to it and when you turn on the water it flows and you can hear it hitting the wall of the tank. I run mine for a few minutes. Same here... X3

RE: Buying a new diesel pusher for first time (pointers?)

Insight - don't buy a new one. For the price you pay you can get a better upgraded coach for the same money or less. We purchased new and never again, as soon as the first year is done you owe more than it's worth and it goes down from there. JMHO on this subject. Also if you are buying from the dealer in Manassas an even bigger DON'T!

RE: Where are you workkamping this summer?

Still managing the OK RV Park in beautiful Moab, Utah! come on down and visit. We need workcampers for the fall season, any interest?? Thanks and have a great day! Hay, we may see you this summer. We decided not to work and spend the summer visiting all of the canyon areas which was to be the first summers visit 8 years ago. we may make it this time. We were to work in VA but for health issues are resting the summer.

RE: A Rescue Poem

This is really great, DW just got rescued three weeks ago by BanGee. For someone that was really abused he is doing well. DW now has another child to raise.

RE: Emergency Road Service

I think you need to go back and do some searches on the forum. You will find this has been covered and most stated CoachNet is the best.

RE: Might be time to trade up

Go up on the roof and check all of the seams, skylights, vents, a/c's and anything else that is up there.

RE: I want to pan/highbank for gold

Fairbanks just make sure you are not on someones claim. There are places that sell all the equipment and will tell you what parts of the river are open.

RE: 49er Days in Death Valley

We were working there during the activities and if you don't have reservations your not going to find a parking place. The campground on Furnice creek has full hookups and requires reservations, The park service outside FC does not have hookups and is first come first serve.

RE: Plumbing vent cap

Question, why are you replacing them so often? Is it the product or are you hitting them on something?

Not a bad place, kinda overpriced for a place to just park but close to the metro and DC

RE: Calling all cooks -- I need your help

We have been using McCormicks (spelling) pulled pork packages called slow cookers. They are found in the spice section of the stores. Do the pulled pork at home, package and freeze. Reheat when dinner is almost ready. You can also do chicken in place of the pork - or do both. Add some cans of BBQ beans, and salad, corn bread and whatever.
