RE: Jackson Hole, WY Stuff to Do

The last time we were in Jackson we went white water rafting. My nephew still thinks it was one of the best parts of the trip.

RE: Used Pleasure Way Traverse Pop Up

Hi Pam I would be glad to get together with you so you can see my Traverse. I have been using it as my daily driver and have also been on 2 trips t Yellowstone and one to Colorado. I plan to travel in it for about 6 months starting spring of 2013. I am a nurse and work wierd 12 hour night shifts but I am sure we can find a time both of us can agree on.

RE: Tanglewood RV park in Clemmons NC

I stayed in this campground when I visited my niece at UNCSA last month. It was really nice. We did end up in a very unlevel site the first night but the camphost gave us enough wood to get level without any problem. I would stay there again.

RE: Used Pleasure Way Traverse Pop Up

Wow I just got back from a 2300 mile trip passing thru/around Atlanta up and back. If you get down St Petersburg way I would be happy to show you my Traverse. I love it!!! Just spent 12 nights in it mostly on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

RE: Ft Desoto Campground Fire Rings

I really love Ft Desoto Campground. As someone else said to each his own. But you can't camp any closer to Tropicana Field and it is a beautiful park. It is located in a Pinellas County park with the best beaches around including a leash free dog beach.

RE: Davidson River, NC question

I have only been there in the fall but have never had a problem getting a site. It is one of my very favorite campgrounds. Especially nice when I have been able to get a site with electric.

RE: Winston Salem NC

Iam planing to be there on Friday October 21st and Sat the 22nd. My niece is at University of NC School of the Arts. Is Tanglewood the best option for that school? Sorry I should have put the name in my first post.

Winston Salem NC

I would like to visit my niece for a weekend in October. She attends college in Winston Salem NC. Does anyone know of a nice clean campground in the area. I only have a couple of days so I don't want to be very far away. My only real need is electric and clean showers.
Also I will be traveling with a dog. Thanks.

Are any single women workamping?

Just wondered if any single women are workamping. If so what type of duties do you have? I figure some places would want more hours than others. Thanks.

RE: Workamping in Yellowstone

Thanks for all the answers. I do have 2 dogs in my signature but the older one passed away this year. Only one left. I work as a nurse now and she stays home for 13 hours at a time while I am working. No problem, she is used to it. Also she is happy in the van for many hours by herself. Very laid back dog. I did not think about the extreams in temps as I have only been in Yellowstone in the spring. Thanks for all the info.

Workamping in Yellowstone

I would like to workamp in Yellowstone next summer. I have a Pleasurway Traverse which is similar to a VW poptop camper only it is a Ford van. It has fresh water tank, and grey water tank but only a portapotti.
Also have a stove and fridge. I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to workamp in a setup like mine or if I need to get a trailer. I can't stay in a dorm as I have a dog. Thank you.

RE: Campgrounds near Pittsburg, Pa.

Thanks for the info. Carnegie Mellon is where she will be and both campgrounds sound good. I am partial to state and national parks so I will check and see if it will be open the end of October.
