RE: Tampa RV Show

Re: discount to the Tampa Show: It's a dollar off on opening day for seniors. There's usually a coupon on the website for other days. In past years, one day admission gets you two days. I don't see that advertised this year.
We typically dry camp with friends in the parking lot. (Attendans come around after the crowds leave and collect the five or six dollars for the night,)

RE: Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights)

Honestly, I have no idea about California, but I got an email from a friend in Scandinavia who said this January/February will be the best Northern Lights season in fifty years.
I'm looking for ideas, too. (Seriously Zero chance here in Florida)

RE: Waiting for TT to Arrive

Congratulations, and hope you have many wonderful camping adventures.
I just took a look at the website. Which floorplan did you choose? A nice variety of small to medium trailer floorplans.

RE: New to snowbirding.. First time in Florida

Honestly,
You're coming here (I live in Florida) at a busy time. It's tough for us to get a last minute reservation in popular parks, at last minute, during Christmas break.
Florida has a great state park system, and you can reserve online for most. The state and county parks are usually quite nice. If you can't get a res in a state park, check for county and municipal parks through google.
Good luck, and have a great vacation.

RE: Counter height or lower Microwave oven

You could also just buy the unit you both like, with storage space for a small microwave somewhere, and counterspace to use it when you need it...

RE: Cleaning and Waxing

You could also try fabric softener on a soft old piece of terry cloth towel.
The best defense against stuck-on travel bug splats, for us, has been multiple coats of a good quality marine wax (made for fiberglass). I'm not familiar with Maguire's, though we've read about it extensively, we simply use the stuff we've used successfully for over three decades on our boats: the best 3m paste wax for boats. It's a bit expensive, but it goes a long, long way... one can will last a year or two, depending on the size of your trailer. Good UV protection, too.
