RE: Where to sell?

If you price it right it will sell. I just sold my 2008 Puma and it went pretty quick on CL. At first back in April I had it priced high then I lowered it, then it expired. Come last week, I relisted it and I got a call Sunday, and by Tuesday I had the funds and sent it to pay it off.
How do you like that F150 btw?
I love the F150... Lol, yeah pricing it right it is the problem. I started high and have been dropping it down every week just to see where the market is for this thing. I know what blue book says, but that doesn't always mean anything.

RE: Where to sell?

This is "high season" for a camper sale so you're likely to get a good price for it. Best way to tell if your price is good is to advertise it on Craig's List with several photos. If you don't get any calls you're overpriced. If you're deluged with calls you're under-priced but shouldn't need to go any lower.
My sales recommendations:
The trailer should be in showroom condition. Remove all of your stuff. Every bit of it. Wash and wax the exterior; wash the tentage; get all the mildew off the canopy (!); spot paint the trailer frame; wash the interior; wax the floor.
Have the trailer setup with the tents deployed. Do NOT complicate the selling process with "camping instruction." Don't discuss leveling, erecting the tents, turning on the water heater or refrigerator, etc. Save that for a courtesy session with the new owners after the check is deposited.
Avoid "towing" questions unless they show up with a sedan or minivan.
My popup sold in three days a few years ago. I probably priced it too low. But she sold fast!
Beware, you're competing with new hybrids from RVWholesalers just 45 minutes away. You'll need to offer significant savings to induce buyers to take your used trailer over a new trailer. If you paid a higher price than RVWholesalers (from your friendly "local dealer") be prepared to take a big hit.

Thanks for the info. I've had it on Craigslist for a couple weeks. I know I overpriced it, so I've been dropping it down a little each week. So far I've only gotten responses from spammers/scammers and I think a couple dealers that want to sell it on consignment. I bought from a local dealer, but I had talked to RVW and got a quote from them with the exact same options. Took the quote to my local dealer while they were having a big sale (and trying to open a new location) and they beat RVW by about $1,500 (I never showed them the quote, and told them the RVW quote was $750 less then it actually was). Also talked to RVW a couple months ago and they blue booked it for me (which was about $2,000 more than I paid). Not expecting to get that, but we'll see.

RE: Where to sell?

rvtraderonline.com maybe?
You are not selling that 2011 trailer, are you?
Aye, I am. Haven't even had time to get it out of storage to dewinterize it yet this year, plus I need the money to help sell my house. Selling the motorcycle too. lol.
