RE: Sewer cap with hose connection

$150 fine in Oklahoma state parks if you get caught. Most COE parks I've been to could care less about gray.

RE: SuperGlide 18k price

That's what I paid for mine 2 years ago. Check out CW catalog if you think $2500 is high!

RE: Combo Washers/Dryers (Ventless, 110V)

We like our Splendide 2100XC very much. But you will be much happier with the vented model.

RE: Nominate the worst highways for Motorhomes

For a toll road I-90 from Gary. Ind. to Cleveland is the worst. Close second is Pa. turnpike.

RE: GS 2012 Trailer Life Directory

I buy a new one every two years just to keep up with the parks or other changes that may have taken place. I downloaded the iPhone app for the directory but haven't had a chance to use it yet. I want a paper copy in case I don't like the app.

RE: My 2005 1500HD with these trailers. OK? To much?

My last truck was an 06 GMC 1500HD set up like yours, pulled a 33ft Sabre TT with no problem except one-couldn't pass a gas station! On a good day I would get 8-9 mpg towing. Other then that excellent setup.

RE: Toll Roads

In Oklahoma we don't have much choice, there are toll roads everywhere. But they do have rates that are RV friendly based on number of axles. Our Pike-Pass system is also good as you don't have to wait in line at the booth and you get a discount. Try to avoid them otherwise.

Canton Lake, Ok. tornado

Yesterday at about 4:30 in the afternoon an EF-3/4 tornado tore through the Canton Lake area in northwest Oklahoma. Of the 4 campgrounds on the lake, two were completely destroyed. Canadaian Campground and Longdale Campground were wiped off the map. When folks came out of the shelters some could not even find their rigs and those that did find their rigs had a hard time identifying them they were so completely destroyed. We drove up there today since this is our favorite lake and though we could not get close to the damage we still saw enough to make you want to cry. We even saw a truck stuck on top of what was left of a tree just like someone had put it there. Amazingly, there were only minor injuries. I shudder to think what might have happened had that storm come through on Saturday or Sunday when the campgrounds would have been full. If anyone is familiar with this area Big Bend and Sandy Cove campgrounds were untouched and open for business. God definitly had His hand on these people yesterday.
