Depends on how old your children are. We camped at Bandit Roost but it was in the fall, so no swimming and it was just for a weekend and the kids at that time were 8-12, not much for them to do but fish. We camped Easter weekend at Zooland and loved it. My DD is now 13, had a good time in game room and fishing, putt putt, and they have a very nice playground. The pool will open Memorial day weekend. We have also stayed at Crosswinds in Linwood, very nice with things for the kids. Jellystone in Marion is a very good choice also, but just called for Memorial weekend and they are full.

Teenagers
Are there alot of families out there that camp with teenagers? If so do they enjoy spending time withe the family, or would they rather be exploring the CG with friends?

trying to decide if we want to make plans for Zooland in Ashboro NC for Springbreak or not. DD wants to go to the beach, but not with the price of diesel..Trying to find CG's close to home, but not really that many in NC.

Mice in the TT
What do you do to prevent mice from coming in your TT? Or what can I put in there to keep them out. I went into ours last night to get something, and i found for the first time ever mouse drippings. We have had the TT for 6 yrs and NEVER have i seen this. I immediately took out the food that they could get into, we still have our things in the TT because we have not closed it for the winter, plan on camping a few more times.

Smith Mountain Lake Campground
Has anyone stayed at this campground? They said it has onl been in operation for 3yrs and it has 20 full hook up sites. If you have camped there, what did you think?

Tanglewood Park in NC
Has anyone ever camped at Tanglewood since it reopend. The park is in Clemmons, NC. If so what sites would you recommend for a 32 ft TT with slides. How did you like it and would you return. We are looking for somewhere to camp close to home, we live in the W-S area and our DD has cheerleading so have to camp close. Thanks for any input.

Power bill for monthly camping
Has or does anyone camp on a monthly basis at the same campground, if so I would like to know how much a cg is allowed to charged for power. This is in North Carolina. Some tell us that it is illegal for the CG to charge more than the power company charges also they should not charge us tax on top of it, would like to know you opinions. The power company charges $.10 per kilo and the CG is charging $.14 per kilo plus tax. Just wanted to know if the CG can do this. Thanks for any input.
