RE: Portable elect heater query

We decided on the Vornado Panel Whole Room Heater Model #EH1-0055-06R-DIR. Bought it at our local Lowes, could have saved a few bucks by ordering from Amazon, but if something goes wrong with the heater while we're traveling this winter, a Lowes store will be convenient to locate and they will handle replacement or refund instantly. Cost was $50. The heater puts out nice warm ,comfortable, all direction circulation with no "blasting furnace" or burn your legs or your pet issues. Also incredibly quite, and has a 5 yr warranty. looks like it'll work great for our needs. Happy Thanksgiving all!!!

RE: Sea Eagle Kayaks Query

If you're just paddling lakes - the ones with a skeg or two (a fin-like projection on the bottom that keeps them tracking straight) is a nice thing to have. I've paddled with friends who have the Advanced Element Inflatable and like them - the only problem is how long it takes to inflate. Thanks folks, I agree with the skegs advise...been there done that endless circle thing... The Sea Eagle has 2 skegs.and can actually be fitted with a sail. I'm told that the newer Sevylor inflats no longer have those great premium quality Boston positive one way valves anymore?? Sea Eagle still does. I know the Boston valve to be a reliable product.

Sea Eagle Kayaks Query

We're looking to find a good quality inflatable kayak for putzing around those lakes at the various campsites we find along the trail. I would appreciate your input on the Sea Eagle products (SE 370?) or any other brand you've had good experience with. Thanks

RE: Grand Isle State Park , LA , query

Thanks to all for your input. I'll keep my Grand Isle reservations but also keep looking for a better rv site in S. LA to do some speck and red fishing before heading to Gulf Shores. Pops

Grand Isle State Park , LA , query

Looking to camp a week or so in the Grand Isle State Park in LA this November. Does anyone have any "best sites" suggestions? Any other feed back (fishing, biking..etc) for the Grand Isle State Park is also appreciated. Thanks for your time!

RE: First timer 5th wheeler questions

If you're trying to keep towing weight below 7700, you'll need to find another unit. This one has GVWR of 9950, dry weight around 7365. No Johnrbd, actually the Jayco 265RLS HT has a dw of 6800 lbs. But thanks for your response. Pops

First timer 5th wheeler questions

We have been camping with bumper pulls for awhile now but are now looking at the added room and features of the Jayco 1/2 ton tow-able 5th wheeler, 265RLS HT. We have to keep our total towing weight at 7700 lbs or less. I would appreciate your input on these questions: 1) Do any of you folks have any input on this Jayco 265RLS HT or an equivalent weight 5th wheel? 2)What have you found to be the advantages of a 5th over a bumper pull? 3)What 5th wheel hitch have you found to have the best features for you? I appreciate your time and information.
