RE: The Kindle and kindle books

There is inexpensive software you can buy that allows you to get epub books for your kindle. You also need the free Calibre software to convert the book to mobi format. Amazon has free previews of some newer books. Go to Kindle-> kindle ebooks-> free collections scroll down to the text and in very small print is a link to "limited time promotional offers" A lot of it is not of interest to me but every once in a while they will have a new release by a popular author for free for a short time. On the left column of the screen is "New Releases". You can choose 30 days, 90 days, or coming soon. This is one of those things that you want to check often to catch the occasional gem.

RE: Toilet Paper & Black Tank Woes

I'm another advocate for Pure Power. Those little enzymes do great job. I also make sure there are a few gallons of water in the black tank all the time. When we travel anywhere (home to CG/CG to home) I fill the black tank about half full and let it slosh around. It's amazing what comes out, even though I flushed the tank before leaving.

RE: House Sold, We are Free

Congratulations on your new life. We put our house on the market 2 months ago and have not had one single showing. I know it will take a long time to sell but one can't help but hope. I look forward to some day joining you and all the other fulltimers.

RE: Boondocking in eastern Oregon

I sent you a PM. Don't forget that The Rally is here in Remond in a week. Don't give up your RV site until you're sure of another spot.

RE: full time...moderator

Here's my klutz story. I'm pretty active. We dirt bike, hike, golf, geocache, all without incident. One snowy day I'm Christmas shopping and slip in the parking lot of the mall. I broke my leg in two places! It was a spiral facture that broke the tibia just above the ankle and the fibia just below the knee. A pretty serious injury that required immediate surgery. How to alleviate the boredom? Have DH take you to a big store that has those litte electric scooters that shoppers can use. After being stuck in the house for 2 weeks I had a ball. DH had to hunt me down and drag me out of the store.
