RE: vent screens

I installed them soon after we got the rig. So we have had no problems. I wouldn't be without them.

RE: Truck Camper bicycle rack?

I carried a bike on the ladder last year and it was a bear getting it up and down. I would opt for a front carrier next time.

RE: Yellowstone Crowds

If you go to the YNP web site and look at the attendance figures for the last three years you will see that that has been a dramatic increase in attendance in all months. I usually go in Sept. and find some CG nearly full before 10 am. The exception being Madison.
Some of the CG's also close around the 15th of Sept.
With the weather being what it has been in the last few years there is no telling what the weather will be like. A couple of years ago around the 20th or so there was six inches of snow and 10* temps. Last year was prefect, cool nights, warm days and little wind.

RE: Hunting

I must have fallen asleep and missed something. I trout fish more than I hunt but do both. That's the only reason I bought my rig.

RE: Charging question

Check to see of the batty disconnect is in the off position. It will be in the battery box, pull it out. If that does not work use a multi meter and see if you are getting current to the battery.

RE: should I use bumper mounted tie downs?

Get the TorkLifts. There have been numerous posts about Ford bumpers bending when using mounting points on them.

RE: Java on my computer question??? (UPDATE)

I just got an update on my MAC and the update was to disable Java Script. There must be a security problem. The further message stated that it can be enabled through Safari if wanted. It said more but I don't understand it.

First rot

Tonight I found my first serious rot. It's located on the floor next to the door. So I have the floor cut out but some of the bracing is wet. What is the stuff that you can treat the wood to restore it back to a more sound piece of wood.

RE: best batteries for us

IMO I would get two of the largest amphr AGM's that you can fit into the battery box. There are many reasons discussed here in the past. Just a few, no water problems, can be drawn down further and recover better than regular lead acid. More tolerant to vibration.

RE: Asheville, nc - Bozeman, MT

When I go that way I take, I40 to I24 to I57 to I70 to I 29 to I 90. Or you could go I80 to I 29 to I90. I have been both ways and they are about the same.
