RE: Lakewood Camping Resort
We are leaving Friday(tomorrow) morning for the long weekend. Yes, to MB on "black biker week". We have done it before with never seeing a problem where we were. We take all we need and stay right there in the cg. Everyone drive safely and let's wave if we see each other. Hwy 64,220,38 to 501 for me. I think we will be in the 1600 area near the beach area. Gold Chevy truck with a Trail Bay TT.
Taking 2 grand kids who are in early teens along with a friend of one.
Ain't us grand-parents great?? :)

Just left there 2 weeksnds back. We love the place because there is not much to do there but relax and go out and visit the surrounding areas. Have a great time this weekend. Don't forget to go to Dobson and eat at Cody Creek/The Depot restaraunt. They are right on Hwy 601 in Dobson, south of Mt Airy

I have always heard about Topsail near Wilmington and found it to be Surf City FCG. I have never stayed there but have heard nice things about it being a cg to just go to the beach only without any more offered.

I would never think that Apache would be considered cleaner than Lakewwod or most any other at the beach.

Dan Nicholas Park in Salisbury,NC / Rowan County is best spot for kids.
They have a bathhouse and a dump but do not offer sewer hookups. Kids will love it if you can maske it with the sewer restrictions.

Yeah, you tell 'em! They probabaly are dressed for a Polar expedition when it gets to 40 degrees. :p
Yes, that's the way we do it down south. And why we love it is because we don't have the really cold weather too often.

But you know there just might be some folks out there who would want the 30 day position and it would work great for them. We can't fault the park if it works for them and they can cover these positions. I wish that I had 30 days to give it a try once.

We last camped there July 4th week of last year.
Many changes going on there for the betterment of the cg by the new owners.
A good place to go with many activities offered. It used to be a membership cg and we were members since 2001 till some old owners defaulted and we lost our memberships. I highly reccommend that you try it. Full hookups on upper side, and lower area has more grassy areas, but does not offer sewer hookups because of being close to a small river.

Tanglewood Park and then going to the Moravian Easter Sunrise Service at Old Salem for Sunday morning. Camping with some of my favorite in-laws. (wifes family)
