RE: Oxygenics shower head

I also installed the Oxygenics shower head with the holder it is needed because of the extra weight BUT it only comes with one hole for one screw I found that isn't enough so we drilled another hole and attached it that way It really needs two plus some sealer just to make it leak proof.
If you unscrew the holder clip (it won't fall out) the other hole is behind it ;)

RE: New Oxygenics Shower Head

Just put one in my MH, haven't took a shower yet, but before and after sprays against the wall and my hand is like night and day. I got the white one and the white holder too. Put the holder a few inches higher and that made a nice improvement.

RE: Add on lights for toad, can't see them

Read in the 24600 area of the California Vehicle Code. Several pages dealing with tail, brake, signal, clearance lights.
Before somebody chimes in with CA being way out of line with their laws, MOST equipment laws are generally pretty close state to state.
I stopped them in my career because it's required by law and more importantly, dangerous not to have lights. Almost always gave a verbal warning UNLESS the person TALKED themselves into a "safe driving award" aka ticket.
Any good ambulance chasing attorney LOVES a rear end accident when the rear endee didn't have tail lights or brake lights.
Would you stop a class A MH pulling a small car on a good dolly with the lights on the dolly working correctly? In others words with the OEM lights mounted on the dolly in good working condition but no auxiliary lights on the car loaded on the dolly.

RE: Add on lights for toad, can't see them

Thats one of those things some seem to think are required, but I have never read on this forum or other forums anyone who has been stopped because of it, nor told by police they need more lighting nor has anyone even said they know of anyone who has either. I searched when I bought my tow dolly and after reading post from people with 10's of thousands of miles towing all around America I decided it really must not be a "law". On a 4 down car there must be some type of brake lights, but the tow dolly lights must be ok.
I have thought about getting them, but not because of the requirements of the law.

Now that answers the questions I've had about the lights, thank you Admiral. 10 years of research is hard to beat :) Might go ahead and get some, bet theres a sales ad in todays paper for Harbor Freight!

RE: The ULTIMATE RV garage with elevator

There is a part of the article not exactly right "It uses 800 gallons of hydraulic fluid and costs Gonzalez $25 in electricity each time it's raised and lowered." It makes it sound like he has to put 800 gallons of hydraulic fluid in it each time he use the lift, the systems holds 800 gallons but thats like saying your MH uses 7 qts of oil to go to FL, that would be a problem. The $25 in electricity, maybe, sounds like a lot for a hydraulic lift, the hydraulic fluid does all the work, but who knows. Sounds good for a show about spending money. :)
EDIT...After doing some searching on the internet I found a site with the calculations that happen to be for a 75hp motor which is what is on this lift (see post below) link using the numbers there it looks like even worst case for motor and electricity being 0.10 cents/kW (what he pays is unknown) it would cost about $7.50 to run it for an hour. I know his cost will be different, but still $25 dollars is on the very high side for sure. BTW its only 600 gallons of fluid, not 800

RE: Add on lights for toad, can't see them

I've often been tempted to buy some of those 9.99 magnetic lights to add to the top of my Mini while towing, but wondered if they could been seen very well. My dolly has LED lights that are very bright and I mostly only tow during daylight hours which made me wonder if the stick on lights could be seen at all in the sunshine. I think they make LED magnetic lights which would be much brighter, but of course they cost more than 9.99!

RE: Watch Satellite TV Programs Outside Your RV Wirelessly!

Now you need one of THESE for your remote! Always something
It's a great idea but read the reviews if interested in ordering. :)
Really the best thing to do is do a Google search for items like this and pick one you like, I was just using that one to show the item. But yes, ALWAYS read the reviews of the item AND the seller. Good advice Goreds2 :)

Talladega Speedway

We will be headed to the races at Talladega the first week of May for the first time. We will be headed I75 south to Chattanooga then I24 to I59 south, that part is fine, the directions say to get off I59 at Gadson and take Hwy 77 on down to the racetrack. I know lots of people go every year to this track, anyone able to tell me a little about Hwy77? 2 lane, windy, hilly, etc? I drive a 98 F53 with a 460 gas engine, not towing anything this trip. Thanks :)

RE: Onan Generator Output Voltage Slowly Drops

Changing the brushes didn't help (although would've needed new brushes at some point), ordered a new voltage regulator and now I am getting the correct voltage readings.

RE: onan 6.5 emerald generator

Yes it should have its own built in pump.
Have read about people mixing gas and some type of carb cleaner together in 1 gallon tank and unhooking the hose to the main gas tank then hooking in a short hose and running into the 1 gallon gas can to draw out the mixed gas.
