RE: Well, I'm now among the leaky group

And when you are done put a strip of 4" eternabond over the seam to cover it all up use 2 overlapping if needed.

RE: First Time Class A Buyer

We had a Mirada--the key word is---- HAD.Say no more.Take the money and keep looking for an older better unit.I would sooner have a 10 year old top of the line.

RE: How to mount bracket for RVQ

I second the hole thing, but the one we had came with the unit and we used it several times before dumping it as an inferior and unsafe idea.Got tired of cleaning grease spatter from the side and under side of canopy.Went with a small Weber on a stand and used the bracket for a small beverage bar.Are your studs aluminum or wood?A combination of feeling, pushing, tapping and looking inside will help find a semi solid support.Good luck, hope you enjoy it,be careful which way the wind blows when you use it and don't for a minute leave it unattended.

RE: Split AC power for concession trailer

Is he going to insure this unit? Will it be inspected and a permit to operate and sell food need to be issued at some time, health inspectors etc. involved and so on?You may need to really have him think this thing through and check regulations that may need to be addressed at any venue or function.

RE: Will your RV be the next with a Bubbled Roof

I had that happen on our New Fleetwood Pioneer in 2007. It showed up about 3 months after we bought it. It was a losing battle trying to get a warranty fix. I lived with it for 3 years until I sold it. I never had any leaking issues. I would just close my eyes when I went up to clean the roof.No offense to you I did the same thing over a different issue. I fought for over a year and nothing happened. I got sick and tired of it and gave up. This is why they think they can get away with it. I don't have the bubble problem but in doing some research for someone that has major bubble problems on their Lance I started finding that in the last year this has become quite a big issue. I find more and more where people were told it was normal and they accepted that and walked away. Sorry but I could not in good faith sell something to someone knowing it had a major defect and you can think what you like but leaks or no leaks this is a MAJOR defect. Not to be a pain, but why is it a major defect? The roofs don't seem to leak,is it maybe cosmetically not pleasing.I don't like it either but is it not almost a industry thing, they seem to accept it and do nothing unless it leaks.I have never heard of a complaint about a bubble leaking,so I suppose the roof is doing its job??Some people think the floor is glued down totally and usually it is only around the edges,is that acceptable?Just not too sure what the standard is.Do the roofing membrane suppliers cancel warranties if there is a bubble??What size of bubble is ok?Just some thoughts from an old camper.

RE: Will your RV be the next with a Bubbled Roof

I have had many many units over the years and never had a dealer look at the roof of my trades and I am sure many had bubbles,no leaks that I was aware of.

RE: Walmart overnighting yes or no?

I was at Walmart in Saskatoon last week and there were signs posted about no over nighting etc.One sign was a little harder to read as a 5th.wheel was parked under it.Unhooked 3 slides out, wheels blocked and leveled,no apparent tow vehicle around.Parked over in the next row was a travel trailer, same situation.Tow sign information signage was also on posts.Asked Walmart what was up and was told that units are towed, looks like maybe a City bylaw, not Walmart.

RE: Canadian Fulltimers

For me , I would buy health care to cover the situation. The way I understand it is that the health insurance we purchase is only a top up of the provincial health coverage, which has an expiry date of usually 6/7 months. Not sure if I could buy or afford health insurance totally exclusive of a provincial health coverage.I maybe all wrong in this thinking.

RE: Canadian Fulltimers

This magazine has an interesting article on page 11 of the Apr 2012 edition. http://foreveryoungbc.com/ Apparently the Canadian and US govt`s are working on a Canadian Retiree Visa that would allow Canadians to stay in the USA for 8 vs 6 mo. Canadian Snowbird Assoc is also involved in the process. I know personally that I`m in favour. Would make owning a place in the US more viable. Hope it all works out. How will this solve the OAS,CPP,health insurance and income tax in both countries that governments are loath to give up?Staying longer by visa is one thing, health insurance regs. are provincial

RE: spray in liner before or after 5th wheel hitch install?

And what do the hitch manufactures say?I would check very carefully about doing it before due to hitch not fitting as tight, as told to me by Reese years ago. No longer relevant other then bed liners.

RE: just bought a used 2006 camper with no keys.....

Our used-new-to-us 2006 Keystone Hornet 27' camper has no keys. Its $40 for a new lock at Camping World. I was really hoping to buy just the key for the door lock. We did find the universal key for the compartments for $4. I contacted Keystone about the key and they just suggested I buy a whole new lock. Surely there is a way to purchase another key to that existing lock...........any suggestions? Take the lock out and to a locksmith he will redo for you.

RE: Freightliner fl60

My personal opinion, as a person that owned and operated a company with 18 diesel units, there is NO WAY I would buy that unit. The way it looks tells loads about the way it was cared for and one that was chipped plus needs TLC, tells me that it was NOT properly cared for. Just my opinion and there are many more out there that were properly cared for. You can't buy a replacement engine for under $12K, if the chipped engine was pushed to hard and takes a dump. Nope, not for me. How do you CHIP a 12 valve Cummins??The OP said the owner had done some "tuning" to increase power......You tell me how he did it...:h Pump and injectors done by Cummins shop, made it into a real strong motor.Did you have any 5.9's in your fleet, mine was a 1997.

RE: What battery type for E350 2004?

The type is marked on the battery for sure,do you have one or two?It likely is a series 27 or should be.
