RE: 99 vs I-5

5 is bad but imho it's faster, less "city" traffic

RE: I-5 to Lake Casitas

No problems but 2nd the 150 route suggestion - GPS gets funny up there & will route you some very wrong ways!

RE: Morro Bay to Big Sur on Hwy 1... with a 5th wheel

No other road I've driven the road many times - nothing bigger than a van, would never take anything bigger - C, A or 5er.

RE: Bunk rail

I picked up a bedrail cheap at a yardsale. I used a hacksaw to cut the under mattress arms to fit. There's a little lump that would bother me but my little guy doesn't care. http://obrien.unitegriefsupport.org/webclipings/camper/koala/viewrear.JPG width=600 Use the same thing, slide it back in along the cabinet so there is room for the ladder access - enough room to get down, not wide enough to fall through

RE: ?? on Replacement tires for 06 Ford F350 4x Crew Diesel....

We have the same truck just an 04 with stock rims, we have BFG All Terrain T/a's, biggest that will fit and load range E. They work great especially at pismo or dumont, only thing is a big, heavy longbed truck eats front tires..... x2 - love them

RE: Good Sam Road Side Assistance

I have it for my 3 axle - helped out big time when I broke a leaf while boondocking 10 miles from road. Sent a mobile mechanic out @ 5pm on a saturday. Took the mobile mechanic a while to find me (i.e. no maps for location) but he fixed us up that night. ERS even called back that night to make sure everything was alright.

RE: Other uses for the Toyhauler

Use it for everything, Yellowstone, Yosemite, Desert, Track, Go Kart Track, Nascar Races, Water Parks, Football games, surfing, parked next to the house so I can escape the wife when needed.

RE: I5 south from Canada to Palm Springs - getting around LA

210 will skirt the heart of the city and most of the congestion if you really want to avoid all of LA you can cut over to Bakersfield and take 58 over to 15 and then drop down to the 10

RE: route thru L.A.

RE: Rollover Investment

If your pension is being treated as "qualified money" and they're offering to roll it over to an IRA then you're going to have to pay taxes on it if you roll it to a Roth IRA. All your future growth will be tax free (but it will be considered taxable income today).

RE: New fifth wheel owner questions

1. Load and unload both unhooked and hooked (chocks of course) 2. Teflon 3. As long as the head of the bed is a little higher than my feet I'm good, otherwise I break out the Lynx levelers
