RE: conspicuity tape

Some people also put it on steps in order not to trip over them in the dark.

RE: Exterior Shower

Outside shower is invaluable with the Grandkids. Washes off most of what they are into.

RE: Outside Grill

I had the RVQ when I owned an HTT and it was used a lot. No problems with grease or stains on the awning. To be honest, it was just too darn convenient not to use.

RE: pivot table

"The carrying pan steers for your car by swiveling smoothly on polyethylene pads which are maintenance free. "
Does this mean that it pivots?

RE: pivot table

Thanks. That helps me to understand the differences. I think I also have the same type that you do.

pivot table

So, anyone have information on pivot tables. Do dollies need one? If there is not one on the dolly, what do you need to do to tow a small car?
Thanks-

RE: Sprint

Sprint works best around city areas. I have found it to be severely lacking in outlying areas.

RE: Reading lights in slide out beds

Actually, the combination light/fan works great in hybrids. I used it for many years as I love to read before retiring for the night.

RE: winegard carryout satellite antenna

I wasn't thinking that I would be able to receive HD, even standard would be better than none.

RE: Dirct TV Setup Question

Thanks for all the replies. It is an HD receiver and when I am on the road I just use the old round dish. I let my HD dish back at summer park so I guess no beep. I have an inline meter and I think that is too slow. We will continue with the wife calling out the strength with the two way radios. It works good but it takes two people to set up that way. Thanks again for all of the replies. NO BEEP
Yep. That is exactly my problem as well. With the old receiver, I had no problem. I have never been able to connect with the new HD one, using the old round dish, even with help from those indoors.

winegard carryout satellite antenna

I am looking to buy one of these. I currently have DirecTV at home and plan to take my receiver with me. I had heard that these satellite dishes may not be compatible with an HD receiver. Is anyone using this combination? Is there anything that may be different with the hook-up?
Thanks---

towing lights + dolly lights?

I apologize if this is a duh question. I just bought a tow dolly with electric brakes. I am towing a small vehicle on it. I assumed that I also need towing lights. Where would they be plugged in as the plug at the back of the motorhome already has the dolly plugged in there?

RE: Steps to dump help

If I am at the dump station and someone else is with me, I send them inside with a bucket of water to throw down the black tank after dumping and before opening the grey tank valve. Then he/she refills the bucket adding a little laundry soap and Calgon water softener and dumps it down the toilet after all valves are closed. I don't like to leave guests with nothing to do. Haha

RE: tow dolly-too good a deal?

We have also purchased a new Jayco Greyhawk 26DS and would like to tow our 3 door Toyota Yarris using a tow dolly. I have a couple questions for you and the forum. What brand of dolly did you end up with? Did you have any trouble with the clearance between the dolly and the bottom of the car? How well does the Yarris tow? Did you end up getting a tow dolly with electric brakes? Thanks in advance for your help.
Master Tow Dolly. No problem with the clearance. I have not towed it as yet, just tried it to see how it loaded. I got electric brakes. I couldn't justify giving up 38 mpg just so I could tow it 4 down. I probably will sometime down the road.

RE: Other than outdoor showers, what don't you use (and why?)

I don't use the "electric" awning as much as the old standard version. It is not as adaptable. Rats!

RE: tow dolly-too good a deal?

Thanks. I'll plan to take the Brake Controller off another car that I used when I towed a camper. It worked very well.

RE: tow dolly-too good a deal?

Thanks. Also, with electric brakes, does that mean I need to install a brake controller in the Greyhawk?
