Portable GPS
Looking to get a portable GPS to mount on the Quad. Have somthing good or not good? Mainly riding in NV. Want to set a start point and be able to find my way back.

Good thing I still have an old LORAN receiver. To bad they shut down all the LORAN stations.
Shows how easy it is to jam GPS signals. That missile is going to hit where? Why did that drone land in that country? Duhh!

My daughter had it last year. Was gone in about 3-4 months. Kinda freaked out when it first happened. She is fine now. No lasting effects.

Wild Country XTX Tires - Use them?
Looking at getting some of the above tires (LT265/70/17-E), anyone use this brand. Get good wear from them? I understand they are made mostly by Goodyear. My Toyo's are gone in less then 25K, nice even wear but no thread left.

If you think about it, when the radiator lost coolant, the temp sensor is no longer in coolant and can't read coolant temp. The same for the transmission temp sensor. That's why when you blow a radiator your temp gauge doesn't show an overtemp condition, it's just reading air temp. The way to catch a coolant loss problem is with a coolant pressure gauge.

IS Carson City your nearest place to do this test? I can't believe you can't find someone to give you hand moving the RV 60 miles for you. I did my testing at the Fallon DMV site.
I live in Fallon, so I will check with their Motor Vehicle office to see if they have a test site. Web site does not show Fallon having a test site. So that will be great if I can do the test in Fallon.

When I did my test it was over at the fairgrounds parking lot. That is where I did the pre-check and backing test. Then went for a ride around town and out by NAS.

I would vote for Danner's. Mainly wear mine in the wet winter months. Almost 8 years old and still feel like new. They seemed to take a little longer to break in then other brands I've had.
