RE: Tire help needed

Not to be mean, but lots and lots of info on here about tires. Do a search and you will find it. But yes, you can go to 16" on that trailer.

RE: Terrain Limitations

I don't agree with the off road comments. I have 9" of clearance between my bedrails and trailer and I have been in some pretty off camber situations. I just take my time and watch what I am doing.

RE: GVWR for Voltage 3905

GVWR= axle weight + pin weight.
Don't ever, ever listen to a salesman, they don't know what they are talking about. They will tell you what you want to hear to make a sale.

RE: GVWR for Voltage 3905

Ratings don't necessarily add up to equal each other.
I would rather have a pin box and axles rated for more than the GVWR of the entire trailer.
Wouldn't want to max everything out all the time.

RE: Truck Tire Suggestions

For the truck, run BFG A/Ts. When I wear out the tires on my truck, I will be going to those.

RE: EZ-Flex

I tapped my bronze bushings in with a rubber mallet. Didn't need the press but I couldn't push them in with my finger either. I think something is worn out.

RE: XPS tire size

235 Ribs will fit just fine.
You are comparing ST tire size to LT tire size, apples to oranges.
Get the 235, you will love them.

RE: TowMaxx tires:((((

Been saying that for years.......... no ST tire will last or perform like a LT tire.
Discount will match any price out there.

RE: Toy Hauler pin weight question

I guess when you have a toy hauler that can fit inside my hauler, you are probably right. :)
How do you get a WD hitch that has a weight rating range? I have never seen that before. All of the hitches that I have looked at are rated for A weight. 1200lbs, 1400lbs, 1000lbs......

RE: Toy Hauler pin weight question

My pin weight is 2640lbs with an empty trailer.
After I put full water in it, a 2700lb sand rail and 2 full size quads, my pin weight goes up to 3400lbs.
No way do I agree with more weight towards the back door reduces pin weight.
My rail is a rear engine rail and I drive it in straight. All of the motor/trans and rear suspension of the car is well behind the rear axle.

RE: WW Repairs

Last month, we installed 16" steel wheels & Carlisle load range "E" tires (mfgr p/n 5193411), rated at 3960 lbs each @ 95 PSI (for a total tire capacity of 15,840 BUT - the best 6-lug, 16" wheels available are only rated for 3200 lbs each @ 80 PSI (total of 12800 - which is about the GVWR of the trailer anyway, but less than the tires). To get higher capacity wheels, we'd have to change the axles & go to 8-lug hubs/wheels.
But still, we now have 2400 lbs more capacity than we had with the "D" range tires. In addition, the rating on the wheels is most likely conservative, so we probably have an additional 100-200 lbs per tire as a safety margin. We don't intend to push that limit, but still; it's nice to know it's there.
I hope this long-winded post is helpful; if you have a similar problem, check your tire load rating... if we had done it sooner we'd have saved LOTS of $$$ and headaches.
Tony
Don't think I've ever seen an E rated tire got to 95psi. Are you sure about that?

RE: Gas Tank making noise.

Yep, been discussed on here a few times. Popping is normal with running or temp changes.

RE: Arctic Cat WildCat

I've heard the same thing about them in regards to duning. No low end torque and takes a while to get moving. Not a good combination in the sand.

If it is brand new, take it back to the dealer and drop it off. Let him fix it.
