RE: Filters for Ford diesel 6.0

The Motorcraft oil filter is the only one that totally engages the drain back valve in oil filter housing and ensures that it is closed.

RE: Filters for Ford diesel 6.0

All OEM filters only for me. dieselfiltersonline.com have the best prices I have found. They sell Motorcraft parts, so they will fit correctly.
Oil I get only Rotella. 15W40 is what I ran in my 6.0L, but I also tow heavy.
I buy all my filters at dieselfiltersonline.com also.
I buy the Racor Filters - Racor makes them for Ford - Same filter just in a generic box.
I run the SHELL ROTELLA T6 5W-40 FULL SYNTHETIC - The 6.0 likes the syn.......

RE: Great $500 Upgrade for Older Diesels

I have been told by many that the K&N air filter is the worst thing for a diesel engine. Figure if they are free breathing air they must be free breathing unfiltered dust.

RE: Where are some of the Zirc fittings on WW

Nice Toy hauler...
The zerk fittings on the shackle bolts sometimes won't take grease.
Reason is, the hollow bolts have grease holes that need to be lined up horizontally. If they are vertical(or close to it), the weight of the trailer on the shackle, will prevent grease gun from being able to 'squeeze' grease in.
Solution is to install new bolts lined up horizontally. Or sometimes you can save the old bolt and re-align it horizontally(good luck).
jmo
Or try jacking up the trailer to grease them - Worked for me on my WW....

RE: 2005 F350 Powerstroke tow questions

Powerstroke experts: could it be stuck turbo vanes causing low boost = low power?
OP: Is there black smoke coming out the tailpipe when you're towing uphills?
It will boost well over 20. I believe it tops out about 28psi.
It runs clean out the exhaust, nothing visible.
28psi is about max on a stock 6.0 I normally run about 50-55 pulling grades but if I put my foot in it 3700 RPMs - EGT's at 1250 I can pull them at 65.......

RE: Had a break in.

I used to have ADT and think the best part of their service is the signs they'll give you. I took them with me when we switched homes and have them outside the new house.
I used to think the same thing. I bought an ADT sign and stickers off ebay for $19.00 - Put the sign out front and stickers on the slider and windows - 3 weeks later my house was broken into.... True story:S
