RE: Black Water Tank Care

When using the geo method you don't have to use a lot of calgon ( of any other brand of softener). All you have to use is what you would use doing one load of laundry in a washing machine. I have been doing the geo method for a few years now and have no problems with it. The geo method does break down the STUFF so it flows much better out of the tank.

Freezer always cools first and fastest. The frig always takes a lot longer.

RE: Radio Fuse on 2000 Bounder

In the black fuse box under the hood there is a fuse marked "Radio Switch" Fuse # 16. That might be it.

RE: For those that think you don't need WD with a dually.

Only thing that could have helped either one of those rigs would be anchors imbedded in the ground and large cables holding the rigs down. But that does make it kind of difficult to motovate down the road.

RE: locked steering wheel

When the steering wheel is locked we don't call that towing the vehicle, we call that taking it out for a drag.

RE: Propane

But whatever you do, take that little 1 pound fire extinguisher with you. Won't do much to help in any MH or TT fire.

RE: How close to home camping?

My closest campground is 17 miles away. We go as often as we can. Nothing like sitting around the campfire where there is peace and quiet. Wish we had a campground even closer.

RE: Air conditioning 30 amp question...HELP !!

The fan takes very little power to run it. The compressor takes the majority of the power. If the compressor is running and the fan is not, then you have a problem with the fan motor and it should not be very hard or expensive to repair. Take the cover off of the AC unit and make sure the fan rotates easily. There could be some debris holding the fan from turning. It is not a thermostat or power problem, the last thing starting would be the compressor, the fan should be the first thing starting.

RE: Do you guys take wood with you to the campsite?

I usually carry my own firewood. It seems strange to me that almost all states are now taking the position that bringing firewood into their state will damage their trees. If that were so then that would mean that all states have the same tree problem and bringing in my own wood wouldn't bother anything. It's kind of like here in California you can't bring any fruit into Calif. Most times when I'm re-entering Calif from out of state the border (fruit) guards just wave you through without even asking if you are carrying produce of any kind. Waste of time and money.

RE: Led Lights

I changed to all LED's so I could use the heater all night without worrying about having enough battery to last until morning. We like it very warm at night.

RE: RMP3 at Lowes

Inquiring minds want to know, what is RMP3??
Red Max Pro. It's a floor wax that works wonders on the shell of MH's and TT's and 5ers. It made my 99 Bounder look new again and repels rain and dirt.

RMP3 at Lowes

I went to our Palmdale,CA Lowes today and found that they re-stocked RMP3 and have it on sale for $10.78 per gallon. I don't know if they are going to continue to stock it or not but they had about 15 gallon jugs. I bought 2 of them just in case.

RE: Good Sam or Coach-Net

If Good Sam was $80.00 per year, wouldn't that make it $240 for three years, without a discount?
I think what you missed is the $80.00 is for the first year only. Then it is 112.95 after that. This is for first time sign ups only.

I didn't miss it. It didn't say that. Notice that with Coach net the 3 year price is less than 3 one year contracts, but with the information given with GS the three year contract is much more that 3 one year contracts.

RE: spare keys

I went to a dealer and ordered door keys and bay keys for my Bounder. They got them in a few days later. All they needed was the number on the keys and Fleetwood supplied them. They all fit great without tweaking.

RE: Dumping my tanks at home?

I am having problems understanding the problem. You seem to be concerned about the sewer people worrying about you dumping because they charge you sewer charges by gallons of clear water used, but the water was clear before you used it. Therefore you already paid the clear water surcharge. Dump the water during the daytime. If anyone asks what you are doing, tell them. You already paid all the applicable charges. If you try to dump at night, then someone will think that you are doing something illegal.

RE: Tires

What size 17" tires do you have. What size 18" tires are you susposed to have? Some 17" tires are as tall as 18" tires. The size of the rim doesn't have anything to do with the circumference of the tires. Therefore you wouldn't have any difference as to which size, unless the weight carrying capacity is different on the tires.
