My husband has neuropathy also and takes Gabapentin. It hasn't done a whole lot for him either. I know how much you hate going to the doctor but they are the only way you will get some help. Can you change doctors, get a second opinion? I hate docs that just shut people up with meds, no real help, just a band-aid for what ails us. I wish you all the best.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new to you motorhome!! Maybe you should do a trial run and pretend you are setting up, take a notepad and write down everything you don't understand. Plugging her in, hoses etc. turning on the heat or the air, the hot water, propane, all as you would do on a real set up. Then you can ask us the questions and hopefully you get answers.
Also make sure you get all the belts and hoses checked out, batteries and most important the tires. Remember motorhome tires will look good because of little wear but they are not as good as the look, there is a 5-7 year rule on these tires for safety reasons. Best of luck!!
One more thing I forgot, there is a search box up to the left and if you need some answers quick you can put a word in there and it will take you to some older posts with your query.

It is a worry not knowing what the best thing to do is. I know a lot of people opt for in home care. We get insurance for everything but when it comes to this it's a coin toss, should we or shouldn't we.
When my dad was in a long term care facility for just short of 10 days it was $2600, so it sure isn't cheap. I must say I am a bit surprised by the costs. There was 1 nurse for most of his floor and the rest were CNA's and just help...so where's all the money going. Another thing that upset me was these people who had nothing rode around in electric wheel chairs and the man next to my dad; that was paying $6000 a month, had a manual one. There was and is something terribly wrong with the system and it extends to nursing homes.

A question about Insulin
My dh just started taking Lantus Insulin. He takes it at night and last night forgot to do it. It's Sunday and can't call the doc. His sugars aren't too bad. He is wondering if he should have taken his Insulin as soon as he remembered or just leave it and wait...he will monitor himself today regardless but we were curious what we should do.

I agree t-train, you could be so much worse off. I also hope that our economy has some kind of come back but most say at least 2 or more years. Don't stop looking though, might be something right around the corner. Good luck!!

btw, I cook my eggs in a little oil first, lightly scrambled. I add them to the rice at the end. Day old rice is best but I have used just cooked rice, less water to cook it.

just stuck in recipes in search and came up with tons of tasty recipes. I was in here the other day and came across archived recipes, over 4000 I think it said.
I made Albondigas soup with french rolls, little cool here tonight so it was perfect. We got some frozen yogurt for dessert. Hot and cold.

I agree with calling ahead if you are relying on a car. Funny, I never thought about renting a car while camping but it's a good idea. Our MDX is not towable and hate giving it up to get a toad. Renting is a good option for now. Also we have an RVing with disabilities forum, just search up to the right ^ lots of good feedback in there too. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

gosh I don't come in here much but I just read about sugar, gluten, dairy free diets to help some diseases....I thought to myself, hmmm, might get a few tips on how to stick to a diet and eat better (i do know how, just don't do it)....!!! I gotta try one of these, just ONE, sounds so good!
