RE: Change in Status

I enjoyed all the comments and direction I need to take to join the "Senior Group". But at my rate of posting according to the site (<1 a day)I'm not sure if I will ever get to the Status. But at least I have that goal to look forward to...HEY..I think this will be another post raising my total. Look out here I come sometime in 2015 or 2016 I will be close.

Change in Status

How does this system work as a person status changes from New Member to the next step up to the final of Senior Member?

RE: UPDATE!! Help! Just noticed horrible paws.

Kitty will be thankful for what you did. they will also be a little scared for the next few days if you pick them up and put them on your lap...fearing that you are going to do it again. But over a very short time they get over that fear. You did a great job and be proud of yourself.

RE: UPDATE!! Help! Just noticed horrible paws.

Having a cat de-clawed should be the last thing considered. It only takes 5 mins to clip the cats' claw's. I'm sure you or someone has 5 mins to spare to do this.

RE: UPDATE!! Help! Just noticed horrible paws.

I have clipped my cat's claws for years. You just have to be careful not to trim them to far back. If you can hold your cat, just push the claw out from the top of the paw and look for the center part. Do not clip to close to that part. Your cat will thank U...

RE: Whitehorse to Dawson City

I want to thank all that replied. I may of jumped to a conclusion when I read the first couple of replies. One said it was like a "Cow Trail". Another one showed pictures of a "Mud Run". My thought was, do I really want to take a 40K pound MH down a muddy, dirty, bumpy dirt road? I got that impression from the first couple of replies and I decided "NO". But now with the additional pictures and those opinions of more recent travels on the road by everyone, my opinion of the road has greatly improved. Again, I thank everyone that posted and keep them coming for all to enjoy.

RE: Whitehorse to Dawson City

After reading what people say about the road and the great pictures, I'm not sure about taking our motor home and toad down or up the road. Looks like maybe we find nice RV spot and just take the AWD vehicle back to Dawson City and not worry about the MH in the dirt/dust/mud. Thanks for the info. Having a 40' and tow vehicle, not sure about the Ferry trip either.

Whitehorse to Dawson City

We are planning our Alaska trip for 2012. In the last couple of years has anyone driven their Coach/MH from Whitehorse to Dawson City and onto Tok? How was the condition of the road? Just curios if you ever got concerned about the road and your Coach. Thanks

RE: Advice on 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Reading this post about how to tow the 2012 GC. My question is "Why does the key FOB need to be left in the ignition?" Also, I have a braking system that needs 12 volts to operate. I noticed that once I turn the vehicle off (as it says in the owners manual), the cigarette lighter does not have any power to it. Is this where it was written in this post where you need to have power from the Coach to the vehicle for power to operate the braking system. Thanks

RE: 2011 jeep grand cherokee for a dinghy

inge12, Do you leave your key in the vehicle in the first position or do you take the key out. The owners manual does not say what position to leave the key in. I think in the first position it allows the wheels to turn. Glad to hear that I do not have to take any fuses out.

RE: 2011 jeep grand cherokee for a dinghy

I see that the last entry here is in July 2011, so I'm really late responding. I just purchased a 2012 GC Overland. The owners book does not say anything about disconnecting the battery. But the 2011 MH Dinghy guide recommends disconnecting the battery. Since the battery is now stored under the back seat, I will probably wait and see if the battery runs down after a few hours of towing. Those with newer GC with the ignition off, I take it that no mileage is registered while towing...correct? Thanks

RE: Came across an old Chicken and Dumplings recipe this week

Just to throw in my .02.... You can use biscuits from the can. Just 1/4 them and throw them in for 10 mins or so. Alot less work...

RE: Anyone else watching this and planning for 2012?

My DW and myself are planning to go on our first long distance trip in our MH and it to Alaska in 2012. Leaving SoCal mid June 2012 and returning to the Lower 48 in Sept. We want to do all that is talked about here. Making sure I write down everything people say about where they visited and what to do. We can not wait. Keep the posts coming...

RE: Poor Preston has Congestive Heart Failure

We are so sorry also. After reading this it bring tears to my eyes just remembering our lovely pets we had and the loss we felt. As others have said, it will get better and it was the best thing for Preston.
