RE: crossing Colorado - east or west?

Have driven I-70 both ways and done Monarch pass many times in our class c, about the same either way. Have good brakes, take your time, and gear down. Visit Colorado National Monument in Grand Junction area. More arches than Arches NP, but you have to hike to them. Black Canyon is beautiful and if you are in good shape, hike down and fish (Gold medal waters). We live here and haven't RVed beyond Colorado and Moab, UT. Too much to see and do right around here! Fall colors happening soon too. Had little snow in high country already but right now is great!
