RE: tow vehicle for new toyhauler

I went with a Freightliner M2-112 MDT, upfit by Sportchassis, to pull a Keystone Fuzion 362. I'm planning on this truck lasting for a long time. No worries about being near or over weight, no problems if the trailer brakes fail (and they have). It carries 160 gallons of fuel so I only stop with the wife says "I gotta stop NOW". The M2 has a tighter turning radius than my F-350 which makes driving in town or backing into a tight spot easy. The air ride cab and air ride seats give a far better ride than my F-350. I’ll never go back to a light duty pick-up when towing a large RV.

RE: Suggestions needed on where to advertise RV for sale.

Can you all help me with suggestions on where to sale a RV? What guidelines should I use to determine the selling price? Britt Are you selling your SportChassis and fiftwheel?

RE: Anyone loading a small car in their haulers???

CaptJohn, Are you OK on garage weight? My Fuzion 362 shows a garage load limit of 2000 lbs. The ramp has a 3000 lb limit. The specs on the Sky says it weighs 2965. What weight limits does the Voltage have? .

RE: Anyone loading a small car in their haulers???

Captjohn, When you try to load the Sky, be careful of the approach to the ramp. The front fascia appears to extend pretty far forward of the front wheels. While the ramp on the 362 is not extremely steep, you may scrape the frontend before the tires hit the ramp.

RE: How many miles per day

We used to run 300 miles when pulling with an F-350. With the M2 we run 500 miles easy.

RE: Do manufacturer's read enthusiast websites ?

OEM's read or receive feedback from multiple media sources, user forums being one of them. While the OEM may not directly read the threads, there are OEM employees and Engineers that are RV enthusiasts, that take information back to focus groups and product planning meetings.

RE: Let's see your TH garage

Nice thread, i've never been in a TH and was always curious how they looked when the "toys" were out of it. Do any of you guys have a problem with fuel smells in them? That was also something I always wondered about. Looks like carpet unrolls to cover the floor when you arrive at destination? I've had combinations of motorcycles, Goldwing, 4 different Harleys, a Suzuki scooter and now Smart car. No smells linger in the garage for me. We do have carpet that rolls out on the floor, we have two queen beds that drop down from the ceiling, we put lounge chairs in the back, use it as another living room in the day and bedroom at night.

RE: Did you have Christmas in your RV?

Yep, Spent this Christmas and the prior three in the RV. We started our own tradition of leaving town and doing our own thing for the holidays. This year is Topsail Hill Resort in Santa Rosa Beach Florida. http://i658.photobucket.com/albums/uu308/cwill925_photo/DSC02441.jpg http://i658.photobucket.com/albums/uu308/cwill925_photo/DSC02445.jpg http://i658.photobucket.com/albums/uu308/cwill925_photo/DSC02438.jpg

RE: Tri-axle toy haulers: E-rated tires?

Still have my D rated 15" that came with the rig, but will upgrade to E rated maybe as soon as this summer. I never fill the trailer up and I certainly don't do the miles a lot of you folks do, but I still don't like them. The new Fuzion come with E rated 16". Still running the 15 inch D rated China bombs that came on my '08 ('07 build date) Fuzion also.

RE: What did you do to your Toy Hauler today???

We are getting ours ready for a trip to the pan handle of Florida for a week. Cleaning, topped off the propane, stocked with food. We arrived at Topsail Hill at 1pm Christmas Eve. Great weather today. It's a white Christmas, white sand beach...

RE: Finally satisfied the weight police. Got new truck

Congrats on the new to you truck. I've never regretted going big with my Freightliner M2. The ride and control a larger truck provides is hard to put into words, but you sure feel better when you reach your destination.

RE: How many miles on your ford 7.3

148,000 miles on my 2002 F-350 SRW CC. I don't plan on buying another pick-up. I thinking this truck will last longer than me...
