RE: Black tank flush question

When I do use our black tank flush which isn't very often - I have a clear elbow extension on the sewer hose. When it runs clean it's done.

I have one of those.. worst thing I ever got.. Use it every time and its like a deer in headlights... now I have to watch LOL

RE: Black tank flush question

I use the black tank flush every time... I know its anal but it just makes me feel better.... And I do what it sais not to do.. i close the valve and let the flush run and fill the black tank back up... carefull not to fill it too much because the l;ast thing I want is the tank to back up into the tt.. we just like to keep the TT as clean as we can.. black tank included.

RE: Water Filters

I don't have a filter on my tap at home and I don't have one in the TT eather.. moste people I know that have them have had to deal with leaks and filters breaking etc.. so I'm content not to have one.. if the CG i'm at has a water advisory we drink bottled water or boil... perhaps when I full time I'll think differently..

RE: toliet paper

WOW... I've lost count of how many times this question has been asked... Not a bad thing.. just saying.... As far as TP goes... use what feels rite.. If its too soft there is no traction.. if its too rough it scratches...
I use what in the house.. grab it on the way out to the trailer.. its not a small pipe comming out of the TT and its going to the same sewer as everything els eventualy.. never had a problem...Just make sure there is lots of water to push it through..

RE: Do you leave both propane tanks on?

My TT didnt come with and Auto changeover Valve.. I was going to add one but after traveling with others that have them I decided not to.. I like to have control of my tanks.. My cover is easy to open and only takes me 10 seconds to switch over.. Fridfge and hot watter have always lit themself so its not really a problem

RE: What do you guys use to keep your battery charged?

I like the Battery disconnect idea because I disconnect one of the terminals after every trip..
I brin the Battery home for the winter charge it and store it.. I probably top it off one during the winter.. twice if I'm thinking about it..

RE: TT jacking procedure-tongue jack-advice please

I like to think three points of contactact are better than two.. I know the stab jacks on the Spree are supposed to be rated for 10000lbs but I leave the toung jack down with load because again 3 points of contact are going to be more stable than just the two up front and I don't lower any of the stab jacks till the TT is about as level as I'm going to get it.. leaving it a littel high to the slide side because the slide out will level it.. ;)

RE: Driving in a windstorm, not so fun...

July 1st weekend we did a similar trip from Airdrie down to Cardston and faught winds bothe ways.. there were three of us pulling trailers all with slightly different hitch setups.. one 5th wheel.. and we all felt it.. I personaly have the Reese dual cam as well and under moste conditions its awesome but when the wind gets up to the 90kmh + I dont think any hitch is going to stop that 35ft sail fromm feeling it.. If your still fighting to setup up your Reese send me a messege maybe I can help.. I'm not to far away from you ;)

RE: breaking camp routine...

Tanks last for us.... I dont always leave much water in them but I am anal about my black tank.. I usualy flush it three or four times... My favorite peace of the sewer hose is the clear elbow.. When the water runs clear for two flushes of the black tank.. then I'm happy LOL I ofter close the valve before I turn off the flush so there is usualy water in the black tank..
