RE: Carryout & Vuqube Security

Hi All. No problem for our Vu-Qube. We put ours on top of our Motohomes Roof. We also have a Luggage Rack on Top, so we use a Cable Lock, it doesn't go any where. Good Luck. Happy Travels. Dan & Jill How do you get it to receive under trees or other blockage? We have a roof top automatic and it is useless under trees, has to have a clear shot at sw skies

RE: Teenager At Home and RVing

Never, a 15 year old any 15 year old in not mature enough to make the adult decisions necessary to stay alone for any period of time more than a few hours. Both my Daughters were babysitting for others when they were 15. Even younger! I guess every parent as well as the child in question is different. You ignored the "few hours."

RE: Satellite Fee's from Direct TV, city to city free

Please go in to detail about what DNS and other jargon means? I have Direct TV at home and a $5 per month box in the MH. When within 200 miles or so I get local stations beyond that I get them not, nor do I get CBS, NBC, or ABC. I know nothing of how this works please educate me and others as to what we need ask for and how much we should pay? Thank you

RE: Where are The Weight Police when you need them???

The Weight and Size Police are working out of the same office as the Salary Police, and the Federal, State, County and City Property and Income Tax Police. Get over it. Nice, blame public employees not the greedy manufacturers.

RE: Picture posting thread...anyone into it?

to any photographer this will make you cry I had 15k or more raw pictures on my mac and my son taking his photography course managed to erase all. I now have to go through all my dvds and sd cards.. At 19 he is out of my house now he couldn't use his own mac. I will recover most but I want to recover the photographs my father took in the year before he died I am crying now. I will recover but to all make sure you label all of your backup dvds/it will take me hours too go through . Take it to a computer nerd they can restore them.

RE: Hobbies...

I make fishing rods and do photography. My wife gardens and makes quilts sometimes. Both of us paint, she's much better than I.

RE: Price to install Dingy lighting and baseplate

Ask what the flat rate allows for installation. If it takes less than that time negotiate.

RE: Chair Removal

There are 4 bolts that go through the floor into the storage bad, removed those and chair was free. Was worried about getting it out door but no problem. Love the new Lazy Boy recliner, rocker, swivel. Just for your info most any Lazy Boy rocker and be fitted to swivel. Thanks again! Please send me instructions on what type Lazy Boy recliner rocker to buy and how top secure it to the floor of the MH. How close to the wall are you know? Does the chair swivel to the front? Does it have seat belt? Thanks

RE: What's for dinner?

Beef Stew from the crock pot with Carrots, Celery, Red Skin Potatoes, Onion and Mushrooms. Picked up some soft rolls from Wally World and enjoyed. Yummy, my kind of meal. When you going to be i n Ohio I'll come over for the treat.

RE: What's for dinner?

Scrambled eggs, raisin toast with apple butter, and oatmeal. I apparently needed a reminder that I DO NOT like oatmeal of any kind. My niece talked me into trying it again to see if my tastebuds had changed. They haven't, and she is going home with a brand new box of oatmeal courtesy of her old aunt. Tell her you gotta have meat, butter on toast, lots of butter......!!

RE: Picture posting thread...anyone into it?

First calvry it was probably from drinking all the beer on liberty. After six operations since 2000 I'm getting to be a old hand at this. I'm lucky I survived Viet Nam and the merchant marine. The only thing that has come close too killing me was raising my son who, is now a fine nineteen year old who's made none of the mistakes I have. Thank you for the service you provided to this great country. Art Scotch, I found early I like Scotch. Had 5 days in Hing Kong, I don't remember. I'm told HK is a beautiful place. It is all one big blur and praying to Rolph. Had a helio pilot would toss a bottle of Cutty Shark out once a week or so as he flew over. Bundled it in a wash tub size newspaper wad. I tried to catch it some times I did sometimes I didn't sometimes it broke and I was reduced to sucking the nectar from the paper. It was good to be young.

RE: Anyone ever use the oven?

We use ours all the time. We don't camp we take our home with us. Why pay for a motor home and not use all the MH? Pizza is a nice treat once in a while. Pies roast beef, roast pork. Why live like a peasant in a $100,000 rig? We tour and visit historical sites. Have no desire to go to a camp ground with entertainment we only want hookups and evening/night quite. Absence of drunks would be a delight.

RE: Does such a thing as a decent gasser exist?

What makes you buy the******about gassers? I have a V10 Ford and it pulls mountains in cruise control passes diesel trucks and my biggest complaint is the noise from the doghouse. Blew a tire and had perfect control to a rolling stop.

RE: loss of hearing

Any of you with hearing loss that were in the military, hearing loss is compensable and the VA will provide examinations, hearing aids and batteries. If you were in the Army or MC or shot long weapons remember that spot weld we were taught to make with our thumbs on our cheek? That causes the ear opposite your dominate hand left ear if right handed to be worse than the ear exposed to the weapon. You Arty guys, Huh, what huh? LOL The good part about hearing loss is either not hearing or not acknowledging when the wife speaks. Ignore her long enough she'll get distracted with something else and leave you alone.
