yep just remembered you said that, sounds like a bad breaker
You know somebody with an amp meter that can measure the power draw while operating the slide?

RE: New member here..question about slide out probs

If the connections check out good.
Today, I put my charger (which gives me a battery % indicator) on the batteries and after I tried to open my slide outs (they only opened about 5 inches before the "stop and start" started) and it showed my batteries at about 37%
I would have the batteries load tested, Without knowing for sure you have a good set of batteries you'll be chasing your tail.

RE: Want to lift toyhauler

By adding blocks you're not really adding any additional stress to the hanger points other than an increased moment arm since the axle centerline is farther from the hanger points, pretty minor but additional stiffners between the hangers can never hurt.
The Lippert PDF at the link below shows the leverage damage potential - this is a real problem with the typical Lippert built frame that RV OEM's use. Tying the spring hangers together as shown in the last part of the PDF reduces the long term risk of frame twist stress failure.
Part of why this type added bracing is needed is the lack of full height crossmembers in the frame to prevent twisting.
Lip Sheet 0135
Great link map guy! I think with an axle flip and blocks I would request the cross supports. At the very least print a copy and take it in with you and get a quote.

Think next I would check all pos and ground connections to ensure they are clean and tight.

RE: I love CW, but...

The whole problem with the joining the Club is that it still doesn't entitle you to better prices than you can find on Amazon. You are essentially paying to be allowed to pay more than you have too.
Well said and what I was trying to get at! Times have changed with point and click internet shopping/ free shipping and you have to change with them. I still like to hold a product in my hand and check it out before purchase unless it's a well known item.
Give me a fair price without the gimicks under one roof and I would shop there :B
P.S. I under stand overhead/ employee costs and the many free mailings / literature camping world provides which is greatly appreciated. Not saying they need to price match or beat everyone out there but with their buying power they should be able to get in the ballpark.

RE: I love CW, but...

I love going into a camping world store! Feel like a kid in a candy store... However, The whole presidents club thing doesnt sit well with me.
I guess there are two ways to look at it.
1) Customer pays membership and feel he or she needs to shop there for the year period to re-coupe cost of membership.
2) (where I find myself) I go only a day or 2 before a trip to pick up a small item in need. While there, I always see several things I'd buy when I visit the store 2-3 times a year. I dont want to pay a membership to get a certain price and feel I need to go several times a year to make the membership worth it to me.
I guess to sum it up, love the store, love the items, just not going to play the games, I shop elsewhere.

RE: new truck

I think if you already own a 6.0L then go ahead and spend the money fixing it, or, conversely, if you can get one dirt cheap because everyone avoids them - you might save enough money on the purchase price to fix the weak points and make it reliable.
But I say why bother?
If you're shopping, go ahead and get a reliable one to begin with. My shopping list would exclude the 6.0L Ford (2003 - 2007) and the 6.4L Ford (2008 - 2010) for those reasons. There are other makes out there that do not require re-engineering to be made reliable.
BINGO !!! :B We have a winner

RE: 2010 Fuzion Kitchen Faucet Pressure

Not so funny story... When I bought my hauler, I was having an issue with the hot water side in the bathroom sink. It would run good for a few seconds then slow down. Turns out there was a small screw inside the supply line that would work it's way up to the faucet when running then drop back down when shut off. Finally caught it in a newly installed faucet which cracked the ceramic disc in it :( Removed new broken faucet with screw stuck in it, installed another new faucet and all is well.

I'll bet there is a low flow orifice in there, take a look and remove it.
Would be my guess also.

RE: Slide Out Toppers

We don't but probably should. I throw a rope over the cover and tie it down at both ends to make a trough to let the rain drain and/or keep it from flapping. This can be done from the ground.
Thanks, this will come in handy in the desert!!! Have listened to that damn thing flap for hours :S
