Not necessarily so. On my first trip out with my previous coach an 04 National Tropi Cal; Mine tripped. After resetting it never tripped again in the 6 years I owned the coach.

On my coach (08 built by Monaco) the curb side compartment with the batteries in it also has the slide control board under a cover mounted on the back wall. Also on the rear side next to one of the battery disconnect switch there is a resettable circuit breaker that looks like This check to see if you have one and it is tripped.

If you had taken delivery in California you would have been driving when the tires went. As far as I can see you were just paying $500 to have the coach delivered somewhere to beat the sales tax and the dealer met his part of the bargain. Don't see where you have any gripe coming.

I actually did my own. If you are familiar with doing the valve lash on older car engines it really is not different. Everything is just bigger. Also at least on my 04 Cat 350 the valve cover gasket was reusable. My only problem was I spent more time looking for a spacer I dropped than I did doing the valve lash.

Bayou Segnette State Park
Thinking of going to Bayou Segnette State Park but not sure which directions to follow. I see at least two addresses for the park and several directions depending on where you are coming from. Has anyone come in from the East on I10 that could give me a good way to get there with a 40 ft motorhome towing a toad?

If it wasn't there when I bought it; it won't go when I sell it unless it is something I just want to get rid of. Considered throwing in the DW with the last rig I sold but the guy wanted to use his as a trade in and I just wasn't too sure of her condition so decided to pass.

Try and remember that over planning is as bad as under planning. I know that during the excitement of getting ready you plan and plan and plan but; Leave some time to just wing it in there. If you see something have time to just turn in and see it. Some of our best memories are of things we found by accident. Enjoy.

I was thinking about going to Mexico for dental word, but have no idea as to where to go. There must be a forum of people that went to Mexico for dental work.

Go to Yuma and cross over into Algodones. You can park on the US side for $5 and walk in. Algodones is sleepy little town who's sole purpose is to support the retired US citizens with dental, eye, and prescription drugs at reasonable prices. I had a quote in the US for over $7000 to have dental work done. Went to Dr Carlos Castanedo in Algodones and got it done for $1700. He is even a member of the American Dental Association. There are even cheaper places but I went to him because of his reputation and was very satisfied. You can even make your appointments on line at Bernal Dental

Just in the last few weeks I was corresponding with someone who had a Golden Retriever for sale on the Las Vegas Craig's List. Same type of thing chatty e-mails then dropped the bomb with how they worked for UNICEF and had just transferred to England. They wanted to give me the dog all I had to do was pay $300 dollars shipping directly to a shipping company in England. Scam!! If they really had a dog to give away why would they ship it to England then give it away to someone in the U.S. for just the shipping fee back to the U.S.? Just for giggles I checked and real shipping is over $1000. BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!!

We have been Bounder owners in the past and feel for the money they can't be beat. They are what I would consider the utility vehicle of the industry. You get all the options at a price that is almost impossible to beat. They still look nice but are not flashy like some of the higher end coaches. As far as the washer/dryer my wife would not be without one. Sure you can only do small loads but we just throw in a load or two a day and let it do it's thing. I would be more concerned on finding a dealer with a good reputation for standing behind what he sells.

In our younger years when the kids were home and money was tight, we bounced back and forth between motorhomes and trailers. The motorhome was great when we were using it but sat depreciating most of the year. Trailers were the best choice for us since we always bought used and the only insurance we had to carry was liability under the truck policy at no extra cost. By buying right we almost always only lost what ever we spent in maintenance. My advice would be, if you are flush with money buy a motorhome otherwise find a good used trailer.

If you don't plan on using it for a while you might as well winterize. If your like me and need to use it as soon as possible drain the low points, drain the water heater, and leave some heat on.
