2.5 miles @ 185 mph
Well yesterday was a big day....Took a ride in the 2 seat Indycar. What a blast. Did 3 laps...an outlap...a flyer...and an inlap. Flyer lap was 185. I challenge anyone who says race car drivers are not athletes. I don't know how they stand the "G" load through the turns lap after lap for 500 miles. I guess they train for it. Gave me a whole new perspective and appreciation for the sport. If you ever get the chance...do it! It was a thrill!!

The weekend I've waited for is FINALLY here!!
Heading down to Indy tomorrow for qualifications Saturday and Sunday. Monday I strap into the 2 seat Indycar and do a few hot laps. Should be a blast!!

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder...I'd rather have this than no Indy car at all. I think the Weldon crash pretty much says it all. That car launched from mid-track all the way to the catch fence. I see the new car sort of like the LMP cars....not so pretty setting still...but a work of art on the move.

Mine does the same thing. You're right it can be an annoyance. Don't know if there's another fan that can be fitted. Maybe a muffin fan or something like are used in a computer.

A point to ponder....Montoya wrecked his car, destroyed a safety truck, demolished a helicopter engine, and set Daytona on fire, and he still finished ahead of Danica.

Many may miss her in the Indycar offices, but few will miss her in the Indycar paddock.

Danical @ Daytona issue
Nascar wanted her...now they have her...warts and all. This is only the beginning of Danicamainia in the tin tops. It's a shame that drivers who have worked their whole life to make it to the big show will again have to take a back seat to the "queen". They will smile on the outside but despise her on the inside...This pretty much tells it all...

I was a junior in high school hoping that it would all be over before I reached the golden age of 18. It wasn't and I was #1 out of the lottery hopper. Joined Uncle Sam's Flying Circus and was in Da Nang 6 months later. Wouldn't take $1M for what I experienced and learned...wouldn't give a dime to go back.....

Wonder how long it will take before fans get sick of the princess and her hissy fits? Good luck with her NASCAR...I'm sure you'll clean up on the publicity. The only driver that will consistently finish in the bottom 1/3 and get as much coverage and interviews as a consistent top 10 finisher. Gotta love it!

I've been around in the Museum Bus...my own personal car...and a pace car. I've been on the sponsorship side, I crewed on a team at the 2000, 500. I even help Lynn St. James strap in on her final ride around the track in 01. Some on here who know me know that I'm rabid IMS fan having grown up down there. I even remember the front stretch in bricks...but never have I had an opportunity like this.
You're right Biscuit...I am bragging a bit...but I also know that you and race fans know the vein in which I'm bragging and are happy for me. Your remarks are well taken...:B
