RE: Clean day/night blinds?

Here's what I posted on another thread about the same question:
"I soaked mine with a heavy duty cleaner (Greased Lightning) put another cup or so in the bathtub water and let them soak for several hours then rinsed them. Loosely folded them to maintain the crease then allowed them to air dry in the sun.
For the larger shades, I laid them out on my bar, soaked them heavily with "Greased Lightning" cleaner, covered them with cellophane so they would stay wet. They soaked overnight. Took them outside and rinsed them with a water hose to get the majority of the cleaner out then finished the rinse in the pool. Again, I folded them loosely and allowed them to air dry.
Both ways worked equally well. They all came out looking like new and they were many years old and very dirty (used coach and never before cleaned). I had to restring two or three of them.
Make sure yours are canvas before you do this. You can add a little starch if you need a better crease in the folds.

RE: Bathroom odor

Make sure the toilet overflow tube (inside the toilet) is holding water. Fill the toilet to the brim and let the water flow into the tube if you're not sure.

RE: This MH is cooking my goose!

There are two thing that you can do other than running the genset. If it's not a window I need to see out, I cover it with Reflectix Insulation. If you don't want to run the genset, you can also hang an insulating curtain behind the driver and passenger chairs IF you don't have passengers.

RE: green stuff in water hose

Algae can't grow without sunlight. Maybe some green water was left in the hose. At any rate, I'd do the same, just bleach it out.

RE: LP Gas

It's hard to use gas appliances when it's turned off but you can if you are not using anything that runs on propane.

RE: Propane Vs. diesel fuel for Gen.

A propane genset will run a lot cleaner than diesel. They will last as long or longer if properly maintained. The cost difference to run is basically $0.00. The diesel tank will hold more gallons of fuel than a propane tank. It's easier to find and more fuel storage are the two advantages of having a diesel genset.
I have a diesel pusher but my genset is propane so all diesels are not running diesel gensets.

RE: Fresh water regulator & inline water filter

Mine is a Watts whole house regulator mounted in the water bay. I use a non-burst host to feed the water supply. After the regulator, I put in the canister water filter with the filter like Brett talked about up above.

RE: New motorhomes and no oven

I bought a electric convection oven, took out one LARGE drawer and installed it. I had to run electricity from the breaker panel but that was easy. It's not a full size oven but being convection and large enough for a pizza it works great.

RE: antennas and signal

Haven't read all the posts but if it hasn't been mentioned then make sure the cable from the antenna is plugged into the amp and the cable from the amp is plugged into the correct input on the switch box.

RE: 99 Allegro Bus--Generator compartment Hood

My genset 'hood' came loose on my Allegro Bus but mine is a different year. I reattached everything by drilling through the fiberglass and bolting through the fiberglass and the metal of the hinge mechanism. Two bolts on each side holds it much better than the factory's ingenuity. Do you happen to have a picture of your setup? If so post it or send it to me and I can tell you if my design will work for you. Maybe I can send you a picture or two of mine tomorrow.

RE: missing motorhome

Renee, I don't know about California but in Texas if that happens to someone, it's considered theft and the vehicle is listed nationwide as stolen in the NCIC database. Have you spoken to an auto theft detective. Many street cops think it's a civil matter and will not take a report. If you have not personally spoke to one, it might be worth your time. Sorry you're having to go through this.

Sounds like an employee intentionally messed it up. People do things like that when they are mad at the company or a supervisor, etc.
