RE: Fax Machine & Printer That Use Same Ink Cartridge

I bought at Goodwill an older fax machine that uses the wax ribbon. It always works after a long storage.

RE: Running the A/C and heater at the same time

A car system is designed for a/c and heat at the same time, so why not run the heater with the a/c turned on?

RE: SMALL garden blower

Do they make a Tim the Tool Man Taylor model? Yup, the turbo model that would blow gravel and small rocks into a pile across the road? Cigarette butts into orbit?

RE: Trade in

Quote "It has been maintained with an open checkbook." I like a low maintenance budget so we can afford other optional things like gas and food.

RE: captain chairs

My drivers seat is against the dinette and won't slide back very far. Have you seen a seat with a 'thin back' just to gain a couple of inches?

RE: staying put: adding permanent structure for wood heat?

Cut the bottom out of an inflatable boat. Air it up to fill the gap.

RE: The 96 Monaco Exec I want to buy has Aged Out Tires...

Wait for him to give it to the daughter. She won't want the 'old thing' and will be willing to bargain with you. Funny, how your only other completion for the coach is free vs. your cash. He needs a reality check. Help me understand why someone would say "I would rather give it away than reduce my price".

RE: Proper way to fill onboard propane tank?

If there were a fire and the purchaser had closed the valve, with protest from the supplier, would the motor-home insurance cover the loss or would the station insurance cover the loss?

RE: Gas Guage not working

Have you found the solution to the problem? I corrected my info above. My book does state to use a 12V lamp instead of just grounding the wire from the gauge.

RE: Gas Guage not working

An open circuit between the fuel gauge and tank will cause a EMPTY reading, and a shorted circuit will cause a FULL reading. Simply stated it is a potentialometer and volt meter circuit. (Resistor and amp-meter.) Check grounds and wiring connections. Use a ohm meter to check the sending unit, it should show low ohms, about 10 to 15 for the amount of gas you have. Use a tail light bulb to ground the wire from the gauge to check the gauge. It will read empty. Use the bulb just in case you get across the feed to the electric fuel pump. Good hunting. Edit to correct. Went back and read my notes!

RE: Grumpy Replies

If your post was in the form of a question then you could have a grumpy answer. It is difficult to get grumpy unless you are asking something that has previously been answered.
