RE: Why don't bugs fly higher

They are inefficient flyers and about as aerodynamic as an outhouse. They depend on thermals from the ground to give them lift....hence need to stay "close" to ground level

RE: Valve cores stick !

Sounds like they had the tires balanced with dynabeads and didn't change the valve cores over to prevent the bead material from entering the stem. Jim Even with the cores changed it can still happen. So after 2 full years of living with that aggravation....I went to a truck tire shop...had all 6 wheels removed...beads removed....balanced using weights and new core; refilled with air and re-installed.!!!

RE: Having trouble getting rear end fixed

Sounds like you need a different mechanic. Should be able to find replacement parts fairly easy and if not just slap a new one under there. X2... Thats my vote also

RE: Back Up Monitor up-grade

I am in the process of replacing my old Intec monitor with a new Voyager monitor. RVCAMS sent a new patch cord along with the monitor but the cord doesn't match up with the pins on the old one. I called RVCAMS and they looked into it but said this cord has always worked in the past. Question to the forum is have any of you had this issue and if so how did you resolve it? The camera is good just the monitor went bad. I may have to rewire the cable that runs between the front and the back of the coach if there isn't a simpler solution out there. Thanks, Bill: My monitor died on me last year and I went back to the company that made it. Cost me $750 but I got color and voice now with the new one and didnt have to replace any cords. SOMEHOW..( ?????? ) they run all the new features thru the old "wiring" with 2 adapter cables that plug into each end ( One camera end...one monitor end). Works like a charm

RE: Exhaust Brake

Does the brake light come on when the exhaust brake is activated Thanks Roy Depends on the year ( model year) of the coach. My 2000 does not but I think the 2003 CC's do..as an example

RE: Why do I feel like appoligizing....??

You feel that way becasue you have a heart, the ability to walk in another mans shoes, and are a caring soul. You should be proud that you think of others. I have a fifthwheel and see folks sleeping in tents and wish my bone didn't ache so bad that I could still do the sleeping bag and air matress. I can hear the violins playing now!!!:S

RE: tire pressure

The 95PSI on the tire is not the maximum pressure, it is the minimum cold pressure required to carry the maximum rated load. If you are no where near the maximum load, 95PSI will be way over inflated. CORRECTO!!! Give this man a see-gar!

RE: Tire Question

2005 Fleetwood Discovery Date Codes 10/05 Always garaged - no sun - no cracks I would say that the probability of infant mortality (manufacturing defect) on new tires would be about the same as the probability of age related failure of the existing tires. I would keep the old ones. A TPMS for early warning is a good investment no matter what tires you run. My tire dealer inspected my 7 year old tires using the criteria (sidewall cracks) they use to determine if a casing is retreadable and said they are fine. X2 PS. I didn't have luck with a TPMS system and threw it out. I lost more air in the tires with that system and got sick of it. I just check the tires before every departure. MM. Got ya beat! I tried TWO different systems and found they both sucked! And I think you will always have me beat as I won't buy another. I paid $599 for mine with 8 sensors for the coach and 4 for the toad. The toad would never work well even with the extra antenna that I bought. I was constantly needing to remove the sensors and adding air. Finally, all the sensors were causing problems except for two. The car never seemed to lose air, just didn't show well on the monitor. I ended up taking everything off and sending the whole system to some guy in FL that asked me questions about it. I sent it for free plus I paid the shipping! Good Riddance! Maybe now the newer systems are better but I check my tires before every departure and rarely do I have to add air now. My TST system was a piece of junk. MM. STILL go ya beat....:B I not only wont "buy" another...I wont even accept one for FREE!!!!!...:B

RE: Air Pressure for Wanli tire

I have recently purchaced our first MH. It is a 1989 28' Georgie Boy on a John Deere Chassis. It has 3 and 4 year old Wanli (made in China) tires and I can't find the recommended tire pressures online. The paper on the wall by the drivers seat says 70 psi cold. Seems a little low from what I have read on this forum. 245/70R 19.5 on the front and dual 225/70R 19.5's on the rear. Just a little over 2000 lbs on each tire. I will probably get new tires if we like the lifestyle and want to get far from home but right now would like some feedback on recommend pressures. There is a placard inside the coach that tells the inflation pressure for the ORIGINAL TIRES, which your sizes are NOT original, and you can use that as a starter

RE: Air Pressure for Wanli tire

Have you checked the sidewall of the tire? Pretty sure that it's required to be imprinted there.... Info on the side of the tire itself is the MINIMUM inflation reqd for the tire to carry its MAXIMUM load. Nothing more

RE: Toyo Tires

I contacted Toyo tire via email to the North American corporate office to inquire if they could provide a replacement for my 6 Michelin 295/80R22.5 XZA1. Their response was that they did NOT have a tire that would fit my needs. If you have 295/80-22.5's....Toyo's 12R M111Z is within .1 of an inch of the same diameter. It wont be identical WIDTH because they are made differently and measured differently...but they DO have a tire that first and works A-OK. I've had BOTH and mine came with Toyo's. There is a huge diffenence it weight capacity between the M111Z and the Michelin ZXA2, at least 900 pounds less for the toyo's and the savings on 6 Toyo's is less than $1200 bucks. I'll pass on the toyo's but thanks for the info. You can buy whatever you wish...but as far as carrying 900 lbs MORE per tire...your flat wrong or cant read a chart. The 12R-22.5's that I had from the factory on my CC...could handle more than 7500 PER TIRE...which means MORE THAN 15,000 lbs on a single tired axle. The more than is a slight amount but still "more than" At 900lbs MORE per tire (=1800 lbs per single tired axle) you would be running AT LEAST 16,800 pounds on that axle..and I doubt that VERY seriously! 295/80R22.5 XZA2® Energy™ LRH 7830 S 7830 LBS at 120 PSI Theres the Mich info from their website

RE: Another way to carry a unmounted spare tire

As long as someone doesnt bleed the air to let the coach settle down close to the ground. My rims alone are wider than my coach sits above the ground when the air is let out.
