We had a Shamrock 21ss in the site right next to us (we have a Roo 21ss) at Camp Hatterass last month. The Shamrock had some features ours doesn't, like a sliding storage box under the aft dinette seat.

Delaminating Front Bunk Roo21 SS
Awww shucks, just starting into my 3rd season with our Roo and I noticed that the front bunk is starting to delaminate. We have a bubble, about 8" wide that runs left to right all the way across the bottom of the bunk.
I'm going to get some pics and will call FR to see what they can do for me.

The rain would run right under it anyway. It is not meant to keep the rain out from underneath.
FWIW, I have exactly the same experience as you with the top end of the PU Gizmos -- they want to slide down a bit. I let them be although I also would like a solution to this problem, but one that does not involve "invasive surgery" on my RV.

I turn it on and leave it on. His leak could have been from many different things.
In June I was doing a plumbing job second day out on a 19 day trip. Thank goodness the gal at the Ace Hardware store knew more about RV plumbing than I do.

Basically if you feel the owner KNEW of the problems, didn't disclose the problems and made efforts to prevent YOU from discovering the problems you may have legal recourse against him.

not to be an idiot but how do you make sure the range fan flap is closed tight? Just make sure it's off or is there something else to do?
Ours flew off the second trip out in '09 and I have yet to replace it.
I've towed in a lot of rain, several down pours and had rain sneak in only once.

RE: Heated Mattress snaps on bunk
We ditched the lumpy front mattress on our 21SS last season and use an air mattress instead. Makes setting up and breaking down so much easier. DD finally relented and asked to have an air mattress back in the 'cave'.
The 21ss has 4 sets of snaps, two on the 'top'edge and one each on the ends. The end straps wrap over the arch pole and then snaps in. Our snaps don't hold very well.

We have a 2010 Roo 21ss and have had no issues with it. I think you'll find plenty of people that love their Jayco/Forest River products and a few that are unhappy with the same.
I'd recommend that you take the best deal your Tacoma can tow.

Don't forget to figure in the cost of the cargo capacity of the Dakota. Tongue weight + gear + family of 5 = trouble. If DW drove another vehicle with the kids and gear you might be OK.
I had a '93 Dakota extended cab. It was a great tow vehicle, I towed a 5 ton trailer (Bobcat + gear) and had no issues pulling it. Stopping, now that was another thing. :E

heheh, I was suprised this thread got this far without a comment about noise. ;) Issues with lights generally get people cranked up faster than music.
If you have wifi or an internet connection Pandora is an awesome online station to use for your music. The best part is it's free!

We don't live in a HOA and this is why, however, I do understand why people chose to live in them. For ME, these neighborhoods can look a little sterile.
Part of the issue is the trustees can sometimes get carried away with their 'authority' and take their position a little to seriously.

A May 5 temperature in the 30's would be cold here in SW Ohio. Our problem has been rain. We set an all time record for the most rain in any month in April. All of the local lakes that are flood control lakes are at or near record levels for any time of the year.
We boat and fish at Caesar Creek lake about 30 minutes from home. The link below has pics taken Friday of the Wellman ramp where we put in. Places we were bank fishing on in March are now well under water.
