RE: Why is it so hard to find a decent used unit???

It does take ALOT of looking to find the right RV! Don't get frustrated, just keep on looking. We looked for 8-1/2 years before buying and finally found our perfect Winnebago in Chicago in the middle of the winter! And at a great price. We bought from Camping World so we bought the extended warranty "just in case" anything goes wrong. Your perfect RV is out there - it just takes a while to find it.

RE: Best Pulled Pork or Chicken Recipes

This is by far the best pulled pork recipe I have ever found in my 38 years of cooking! The secret is the Carolina barbecue sauce - do NOT substitute any other brand! It will not work.

RE: Have you checked your mayonaise lately?

Yeah, I noticed the toilet paper rolls are WAY narrower than they used to be! They don't even fit right on the roller anymore. The question is - WHY are the companies doing this??

RE: AVOID Sunshine Key RV Resort FL -(by Key West)

Wow! This makes me very glad that my daughter changed her mind and decided AGAINST having her wedding this fall in Key West. We had planned to take the RV down and stay at one of the places down there. And I don't agree that the poster sounded "snobbish". Some of us just prefer to be around other people who know how to act like adults and not like college students on spring break.

We made these Friday night for dinner. My hubby and I really like them. Two thumbs up! Super easy, too.

RE: Lake Mary, Florida

I live right near there in Sanford. There's an RV park called Twelve Oaks on Hwy. 46 just a little ways west of I-4. They have storage of RV's there, too. The people are VERY nice who run the place.
A little further out on the same road is Wekiva Falls Campground, which is now a KOA. Just past the river, you turn left and it's down that road. It's a huge RV park on the river. Hope this helps.

RE: Born Free

We've only had our Winnebago Outlook for about a year and half, but we're already thinking about trading it for a Born Free with a slide. Love the look of the Born Free and I think we went a little too big with our first one. My hubby is still freaked out by the 31 feet size of ours, so we're thinking about going smaller. Maybe around 25 feet. Seems more manageable and love the fact that they finally have one with a slide.

Cancelling our reservation at Fort Clinch CG in July (beach)

My hubby doesn't want to drive that far for just one night or spend the money on gas, soooo I need to cancel it. I'm just sick about this, as I was so lucky to get it. It's for a Saturday night, July 14, site #007 on the beach. If anyone wants this, let me know and we can arrange for you to snap it up right after I cancel it. It's $26.00 plus tax. PM me.

RE: Shoal Creek Campground in Buford, GA?

Thanks, guys! I did read the reviews but wanted opinions from rv.netters. ;) Like I said, I already booked it and I won't actually be staying there - my sister will. I'm sure it will be just fine.
We stayed at Duckett Mill Campground last Labor Day weekend and it was GREAT! We were really impressed with our first stay at a Georgia campground. We hope to be spending alot of time checking out the different campgrounds in that area now that my daughter has moved there. :)

Shoal Creek Campground in Buford, GA?

Has anyone stayed at this campground? It's owned by Lake Lanier Islands Resort where our daughter is going to have her wedding in October. I reserved a lakefront campsite for 3 nights and my sister and her husband will be staying in our Winnebago here while we stay in a lakehouse at the resort. Just wondering how the campground is? The girl who took my reservation on the phone couldn't have been nicer! :)

RE: Nonpareil hashbrowns

Ack, we went to our WalMart in hopes of getting some of these for our camping trip this weekend, but they didn't have any. Guess I'll have to order some online. :)
If you haven't gotten any yet, we are giving away a case of them on our website.
They are the best!
Thanks! I did order a case directly from the company and made some for my hubby! They are EXCELLENT! I plan to take them along on our Mother's Day camping trip to share with my mom and sister.

That's just ridiculous to ban breeds like that! For the record, the only time I've been bitten by a dog, it was a little Schnauzer! LOL

The KOA in El Reno, Oklahoma did the same thing to us in December! That's why I prefer to stay at state parks.

RE: New Diet for me...

I don't like to drink water either, so what my hubby and I drink every day is the flavored seltzer water. Canada Dry makes some and we drink one called LaCroix. I think there's also one called Syfo. No sugar, artificial anything or calories. Just carbonated water and natural flavors. We love it! Try it!

RE: State Parks "Space Spoiled Me"!

We prefer the state parks over private campgrounds too. It's more like a real camping experience. Too many private ones are nothing more than parking lots with hookups! Yuck!
We always fill our water tank at home, too. I just don't like the idea of well water. We rarely ever hook up our water at any campground.

RE: Has anyone been to Lake Lanier Islands Campground, Georgia?

Yeah, I know they have 2 campgrounds owned by the resort, but I was wondering if anyone had stayed at either one. In researching it more, I found out that the one is not open in October, but the other - Shoal Creek Campground, I believe, is open. Has anyone been there? We were wondering what it was like. We will definitely be driving the RV up there, but may leave it at my daughter's house once we get there. Not sure yet.
