RE: Leaving food in stored RV

Towels, linens, clothes. I am a scaredy cat and would not leave even canned items in a closed up trailer in 114 degree Houston summer days. It may be safe, but I would never use the canned items so it is best to just remove them for me. Iris

Don't you think if it was yours, the dealer would call you so he could make his profit now not later? Ditto.

RE: of all things to steal

Maybe she had an emergency dishwashing situation and thought her prayer was answered in the ladies room? LOL People will take anything that isn't bolted down and if you give them enough time, they will figure out how to remove the bolts. Iris

RE: Pretend you were gone for a week - how wild would it get?

I know what I would find. Mounds of dog hair on the carpets. A collection of soda cans and garbage on the counter. 2 sinks full of used dishes and an empty dishwasher. 2 trash days came and went but the garbage didn't walk itself to the curb. A pile of used towels, dirty clothes, all the dishcloths missing and an empty washer and dryer. Every bathroom destroyed. No toilet paper. No food. Hungry dogs. All the mail still in the mailbox. Newspapers on the lawn. A very cranky spouse and very happy dogs. Iris

RE: Camera for Idiot on Safari. IT'S HERE!!

Papa, I am sorry to report that it is all still in the box. The day after I received everything, a tragic illness in my family has required me to become a full-time caregiver to a terminally ill relative. All of my time is consumed and when I have a few minutes free, I just sit and stare at the walls. If you want to hear God laugh, make plans! The camera must wait. I have no time for toys or playful things for now. When I finally do open the goodies, I will have to impose upon you all as I have misplaced the camera part of my brain somewhere. Someone asked my what kind of new camera I got and I couldn't even remember. Such is life - eh? Iris

RE: Rvers MISSING----can you help

It is a 2006, gray, 4 door GMC pick-up with Ontario plates #9906TH, pulling a 5vr license # A8272F with a red canoe on top and they have a dog with them. This is all I could find. Woodall's site has a photo of the missing couple but I can't save and post, maybe someone else can. They were last known to be at the Snow and Sun RV park in Weslaco, TX on Dec. 15, 2010 and may have pulled out on the 29th. I hope they are boondocking in the desert. Everyone send a shout out to the campgrounds, state and national parks in their area. It might help. Iris

RE: First trip not a nightmare

It's kinda sad when the news is that the first trip was not a nightmare rather than the first trip was a blast. Here's to many more 'blasts' than nightmares. Iris

RE: .Kitchen Fire

Yep. The laundry, if it absorbed the smoke odor at all will be fine after washing. Sounds like you did the right thing and aired the place out, so things should be fine. Get a new stove. Iris

RE: Can I ask for prayer and thoughts?

I have. If I may offer some advice. Keep a pad and pen with you and write down what the doctors are saying to you and Rick. Especially in times like this, we need help retaining all the information with which we are being bombarded. Call you doctor, get a sleep aid. If you are exhausted from lack of sleep and anxiety, you will also get sick and then where are you going to be? Eat well, drink fluids and get some sleep. There are doctors and nurses who are trained to care for him and heal him and they are watching over him 24 hours a day. You can sleep during the night, when things are quieter and Rick is resting - with enough pillows and blankets from home, even a miserable lounge chair can be very comfy. Get home one night and really sleep, he will be fine and you can be there before rotations in the morning. By best wishes and prayers to you and Rick. Iris

RE: Men's Age

In my teens & twenties, I "dated" my freind's mom, who was a teacher, and I never cared about what I was wearing or how I smelled. In my thirties, I married a girl 5 years older than me, who gave me a speeding ticket, and I never cared about what I was wearing or how I smelled. In my forties, divorced and remarried to a girl 5 years younger, who worked in the church, and I never cared about what I was wearing or how I smelled. In my fifties, divorced I only dated girls around 25, who look so great they wouldn't be caught dead working in Home Depot, and I never cared about what I was wearing or how I smelled. Now in my sixties, my current girlfreind just turned 19 years old today, is a songwriter, musican, and soon to be a famous C&W star, and I still don't care about what I am wearing or how I smell. If I make it to my seventies, I still won't care, but I will probably have to date my attorney. You must have money so date your attorney before the 19 year old takes it all and boot scoot and boogies away. JMHO Iris

RE: Legal issues

No one could sleep in a towed RV - it would be impossible. In a MH, by all means, enjoy yourself. Hint: if it is a diesel sleep on the sofa in the front. Iris

RE: Pls help a newbie with motorhomes like a winnebago

1.) No. 2.) 8 3.) With petrol generators you will always have petrol in the MH tanks for use when boondocking. Can't speak to a propane generator. 4.) You can boondock for as long as your fresh water and propane lasts or until your waste tanks fill - then you have to go back to some sort of civilization. 5.) No. 6.) Yes and yes. Iris

RE: Carpet cleaning.

It will come right back if you use any type of soapy product on it as the residue will hold dirt. Surprise her with a Little Mean Green Machine, slightly used. Iris
