RE: Ford F-150 eco-boost MPG

Up here in Canada the ecoboost is rated at 22/31 miles per gallon. Better milage up here. Must be our own oil:)

RE: Ford F-150 eco-boost MPG

If heavy or towing most of the time I would go cubes. If heavy or towing is a smaller part of the use, then the ford sounds good. The truck seems like a good weekend warrior, commute light weight during the week and get your mileage, power to work on the weekend.

RE: "CFL versus LED" An Interesting Link

Don't forget cfl's have mercury in them. Here is how to clean up a broken one http://www.epa.gov/cfl/cflcleanup.html I will keep my incandescents thankyou. Besides they are very efficent heat producers when its cool.

Diesel ford ranger

When are we going to get these in North America? Check out the specs on the largest engine. http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2011/09/first-drive-2012-ford-ranger.html

RE: Which Class B should we purchase?

Somewhat off topic but check out this diesel pickup. http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2011/09/first-drive-2012-ford-ranger.html For the comment about using 15 year old diesel, you were very very lucky. I am speaking from 35 years of industrial experience. Not someting I would have done.

RE: First Tw Chevy 2500HD Gas

I generally only use toe/haul on hills, up and down. Tow haul mode uses more fuel, checked with my scanguage.

RE: My 2 stroke outboard isn't running right

Are you using fuel with ethenol in it? If you are try ethenol free fuel and see what happens. Ethanol has is causing issues with small engines.

RE: Rv Parking in Ottawa, On. Canada

I second the municipal campground. Has connections right to downtown where one can make other tour connections. Simple and easy. Its a hoot being in the trolly on the freeway.

RE: Do You Use Premium Gas When Towing ?

"(NOTE: That Aviation gasoline is no longer available, it had WAY too much Tetra-Ethyl Lead in it!)" not true, 115/145 avgas is no longer available, 100 LL. low lead is used now. Unleaded avgas is under research.

Class B bedding

Considering moving from our TT to a class B and the DW is not fond of the idea of making the bed every night. We now have a separate bedroom with a foam topper. Looking for bedding ideas, thanks.

RE: Out Of Province Medical Coverage

The CSA (Canadian Snowbird Assoc) has a great publication that outlines all the rules concerning time away from your home province, US regs on visiting the USA etc. They also offer medical coverage.

RE: An Interesting 4x4 Motor Home

Those looking at the price think of this, new truck then new large camper, works out about the same. It depends on what feeds the need. In my case I would take the Bengal over a Roadtrek as one would be crazy to take the roadtrek off pavement. Seems to be about the same price as say a Roadtrek and would be more useful in my case.

RE: Random questions - Cash or finance travel trailer

I put enough down so if have to sell I owe nothing. I also keep my stuff for a long time. Play now, the wrong side of the grass is a long time.

RE: Gas Stops - Good Sam Alaska Caraventure

Have a look in gasbuddy.com It may not show the prices in every location but does a good job laying out the location of gas stations.
