RE: Eliminating bike rack 'wiggle'

Nice work. I think the bouncing and rocking side to side is really tough on them. I drilled and tapped threads for a 3/8" bolt on the top and one side of the receiver. After I install the draw bar I snug down these two bolts which are locked into place by jamb nuts. No more wiggle! Been there and done the tie down straps. Your idea sounds better. I'll have to give it a try.

RE: Powerhouse PH3100Ri Gensets

The reason why Honda and Yamaha will not get any cheaper is that they dont have to. These two brands have built a solid reputation for their product quality and that is evident by the number of these units around the rv community. It just like saying I'll buy a vw in the hopes that porsche will drop their price. Come on , you get what you pay for. Its evident that the chinese are building and selling knock offs of other brands. Beware what you buy. Seen too many people get hosed on stuff like this. Champion are good, I have a waterpump made by them. Its a clone of the Honda. It runs well but I'm not expecting that it will last as long as my Honda pumps. Stick with your champion and by the time its worn out you'll have hopefully saved up enough to go either red or blue and by red I dont mean a Boliy! Thats for another thread. Lets do the math, $300 + $1295 = $1595. Honda 3000 mrsp: $2329. You are almost 2/3 of the way there!

RE: '02 V-10 Tranny Leak

"This is an RV service station, not a dealer, or genuine tranny shop." This would explain it. Servicing an RV is different than servicing a truck. I wouldnt have paid anymore since the ownus is on them to fix it and fix it right.

RE: generator to run A/C

Need to know the size of your ac unit.....generally a 13.5k unit will need a 2400watt unit while anything bigger will need a 3000watt unit. Yamaha and Honda are the most popular two brands. I happen to have both. You may be tempted by a Boliy because of its light weight and low cost, but just keep walking. Too many issues to make them a viable purchase.

RE: Honda Generators

Have a Yamaha 3000. Go with one big unit but above all stay away from a Boliy. No matter that it is compact and light weight, just dont even look at one.

Nope....just two on the TT and one to run the bbq, camping stoves and lantern and portable firepit when needed.

RE: generator question

If you are serious about rving then consider a yamaha or honda 3000. A great investment! Price wise the Boliy is competitive but I would steer clear of that one.....to many issues.

RE: Dang it!!!! Lost my awning yesterday!!

Will Bob repair his awning back into service? What did Bob's DW REALLY think of the Tango? Did Bob make any headway in convincing DW they need to trade-up? What ever happened to Bob's mat anyway? ---------------------------------------------------------- Stay tuned for the next installment of: DANGIT!!! RE: old cats and rabies shots-

I can't claim any expertise on the risks of the rabies shot causing illness. I can point out that the handful of cats we've had over the decades have always gotten rabies shots, and I don't recall a single one of them suffering any adverse effects, other than the loss of dignity involved with the trip to the vet. But I will point out that should that cat catch rabies, a horrible death, and very likely rounds of rabies treatments for you and your family would be much, much worse. We have 24 ranch cats and each one has had a rabies shot. No adverse reactions. Our feline pest control crew are too precious to loose due to rabies!

RE: generator question

Contractor grade generator......louder than most others built for rving. so long as you have a set of good ear muffs for yourself and perhaps some of your neighbors, it should be fine!
